摘要： A liferaft has a floor (52) surrounded by one or more inflatable tubes (50, 51). Two canopies (54a, 54b) are provided, one (54a) covering one side of the floor (52) and the other (54b) covering the other side of the floor (52). When the liferaft is deployed on water, support means, which may be an inflatable column (63), erect the canopy (54a) that is above the water. The other canopy (54b) is unerected and lies in the water. The system of weights (67) and elastic ropes (66) forms the canopy in the water into stabilizing means in the form of water pockets. Similar means are provided on the deployed canopy (54a) but, when the canopy (54a) is erected, they lie flush with the canopy surface and so do not interfere with the operation of the liferaft.

摘要： A dual function powered oscillating hand tool includes a drive unit 5 having an electric motor 2 and a first drive shaft 7. A bearing 15 is mounted on the first drive shaft 7 and is located radially eccentrically relative to the first drive shaft. A second drive shaft 14 is mounted on the eccentric bearing 15. A sanding head may be mounted on the second shaft 14 and may include a sanding platen 21 for random orbit sanding or a sanding shoe 20 for regular orbital sanding. Each of a first flexible group of elements, which include columns 16, pegs 50 and hollow legs 80, and each of a second group of mating elements, which include slotted posts 3, a slotted groove 58 and bosses 72, respectively, are provided for restricting the random orbit of the sanding shoe 20 to a regular orbit. The respective elements of one group may be mounted on the shoe 20 and the respective elements of the other group maybe mounted on the driving unit 5.

摘要： An apparatus for destroying unwanted vegetation in the region of travel ways that includes a steam generating unit, which is mounted on a vehicle and to the steam output of which are connected steam nozzles which form at least one nozzle bar. The at least one nozzle bar extends transversely to the direction of travel essentially across the width of the travel way and is mounted beneath the bogie of the vehicle by a central support of adjustable height. The apparatus further includes lateral support portions with nozzle bar sections which are pivotable about a shaft extending in the direction of travel, as well as adjustable vertically and laterally. The central support and the lateral support portions are constructed as an open-bottomed hood with a top, side walls and end walls. The at least one nozzle bar is mounted on the hood top for displacement in the direction of travel and for pivoting about a pivot shaft extending transversely to the direction of travel, and has at least two rows of nozzles inclined at different angles to the direction of travel.
