Abstract: Systems and methods which provide radial exterior weld terminal configurations for medical device leads are described. A radial exterior weld terminal may comprise an annular conductive structure having a radial exterior weld interface feature, wherein a medical device lead may comprise one or more radial exterior weld terminals. A radial exterior weld interface feature may be disposed at an end of the annular conductive structure and may configure the annular conductive structure to accept a non-axially directed portion of a conductive wire for interfacing a conductor with a weld location on an outer surface of the radial exterior weld terminal. The radial exterior weld interface feature may comprise a truncated aperture configured for the non-axially directed portion of conductive wire to traverse from the inner space to the outer surface. The truncated aperture may comprise a dimple member depressed into the interior space of the annular conductive structure.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to providing digital health services. In some embodiments, systems and methods for conducting virtual or remote sessions between patients and clinicians are disclosed. During the sessions, media content (e.g., images, video content, audio content, etc.) may be captured as the patient performs one or more tasks. The media content may be presented to the clinician and used to evaluate a condition of the patient or a state of the condition, adjust treatment parameters, provide therapy, or other operations to treat the patient. The analysis of the media content may be aided by one or more machine learning/artificial intelligence models that analyze various aspects of the media content, augment the media content, or other functionality to aid in the treatment of the patient.

Abstract: Systems and methods for deploying a paddle neurostimulation lead within a patient. A delivery tool includes a delivery tube including a first linear segment, a second linear segment, and an arcuate segment coupled between the first and second linear segments, the second linear segment defining an elongated opening. The delivery tool further includes a stylet positioned within an interior of the delivery tube, and a handle coupled to the delivery tube and including a stylet actuation mechanism, the stylet actuation mechanism configured to selectively advance and retract the stylet between a deployed position and a retracted position, wherein the stylet extends across the elongated opening in the deployed position to engage an engagement member of the paddle neurostimulation lead.

Abstract: An implantable medical device (IMD) includes one or more stimulation engines (SEs) and selectively connectable output switching circuitry for driving a plurality of output nodes associated with a respective plurality of electrodes of the IMD's lead system when implanted in a patient. The output switching circuitry may be configured to facilitate self-test mode (STM) functionality in the IMD (e.g., when it is in a hermetically sealed package) by using a dual mode switch in series with a stimulation engine selection switch with respect to each output node in the output switching circuitry under mode selection control.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for stimulating the dorsal root ganglion of a patient comprises an elongate flexible implantable stimulation lead adapted to apply the stimulation pulses to the dorsal root ganglion of the patient, wherein the distal end comprises at least one electrode. A first segment and a second segment of the anchor are configured to transition between a collapsed configuration and deployed configuration. A central channel in the first segment and the second segment allows the anchor to be advanced along the stimulation lead from a proximal end toward the distal end while in the collapsed configuration. The central channel of each segment grips onto the stimulation lead in the deployed configuration so that the segment does not move from a deployed position on the stimulation lead. The first segment and the second segment may be deployed on opposite sides of foraminal ligament to anchor the stimulation lead.

Abstract: A system and method for modulating delivery of remote therapy to a patient having an implantable medical device (IMD). Upon establishing a remote care session between a patient controller device and a clinician programmer, wherein the clinician and the patient are remotely located with respect to each other, a determination may be made if a first triggering event is detected. Responsive to the determination, a remote therapy session used for programming the patient's IMD is paused and one or more remote care therapy setting controls provided at the clinician programmer device to facilitate one or more adjustments with respect to the patient's IMD are disabled. Subsequently, responsive to detecting a second triggering event, the remote therapy session with the patient may be resumed, wherein the one or more remote care therapy setting controls of the clinician programmer device are enabled.

Abstract: A system and method for operating an implanted medical device (IMD) based on a waveform player. In one arrangement, the IMD may comprise a first module operative to effectuate a communication interface with an external device for receiving a plurality of program records for storage in a persistent memory, the program records each comprising a plurality of pulse definitions and a plurality of time interval definitions, wherein a pulse definition comprises a set of pulse characteristics to be applied in a particular time interval. A second module may be communicatively coupled to the first module, the second module including a buffer for containing a runtime image of a selected program record loaded from the persistent memory. A waveform player provided as part of the second module is operative to interpret the runtime image to generate control signals to drive an output driver circuit for applying pulse characteristics to a select set of electrodes according to the pulse definitions of the selected program record.

Abstract: A magnetic field sensor is positioned in proximity to a charging coil in an implantable medical device (IMD). An external device for charging the IMD includes a primary coil and a magnet positioned in proximity to the primary coil. The magnetic field sensor in the IMD detects a static magnetic field of the magnet and provides measurements proportional to the static magnetic field along three axes. These measurements of the static magnetic field are used to determine whether the external device is aligned with the IMD for charging. These measurements of the static magnetic field may also be processed to determine a position of the charger device relative to the IMD in three dimensions. When misaligned, a direction may be generated for a user to reposition the charger device to improve alignment.
