Abstract: An optical connector holding one or more optical ferrule assembly is provided. The optical connector includes an outer body, an inner front body accommodating the one or more optical ferrule assembly, ferrule springs for urging the optical ferrules towards a mating receptacle, and a back body for supporting the ferrule springs. The outer body and the inner front body are configured such that four optical ferrule assembly are accommodated in a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver footprint or eight optical ferrule assembly are accommodated in a quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP) transceiver footprint. A receptacle can hold one or more connector inner bodies forming a single boot for all the optical fibers of the inner bodies.

Abstract: A fiber array device configured to secure and align one or more optical fiber bundles as part of a main body using a fixing material. The fixing material is light cured or room temperature cured. Main body forms an angle from a first direction along a second direction, and a recess the optical bundles are laid within and in which the fixing material is applied. Each individual optical fiber is laid within a groove formed in a lid, the base portion or both the lid and the base portion. The fiber array device is secured to a printed circuit board to form a communication path between the optical fiber and electronics of the board.

Abstract: A field installable fiber optic connector is formed without the need to splice two opposing optical fibers together. A ferrule flange assembly with one or more crimp zones secures an optical fiber therein. The assembly is secured within a plug frame housing that has a bias spring, both secured therein by an extender cap. A cable retainer with at least two wings secures the optical cable when a retainer nut is screwed onto a backpost of the extender cap.

Abstract: An adapter assembly is formed from an adapter housing with a recess configured to accept an adapter panel hook. The adapter assembly is secured within a panel using the adapter panel hook. The elastic members are configured to be secured between the adapter outer housing and panel wall opening to reduce vibration at the adapter housing.

Abstract: Connector assemblies are described herein. For example, a connector assembly including: a housing configured to accept a first ferrule and a second ferrule. The connector assembly may also have a latch component that is removably connected to the housing. The connector may furthermore include a push-pull tab removably connected to the housing and configured to move horizontally along the outer surface of housing when a biasing force is applied in at least one of a forward direction and a rearward direction. Accordingly, the push-pull tab can compress the latch component when moving horizontally along the housing, and an inverted ramp at a proximal end of the push/pull, the ramp aides in depressing the latch downward to release the connector from a receptacle.

The boot assembly further comprises one or more cables for fiber optics or power. Bending the flexible boot assembly from a first position to a second position, the flexible boot assembly retains the second position without returning to the first position under the resilient material of the boot.
