Abstract:
A sump for a dishwasher includes a sump case for storing washing fluid, a washing pump assembly including a flow guide to pump out the washing fluid, and a filtering assembly including a flow guide to accumulate foreign particles contained in the washing fluid during the circulation of the washing fluid. The sump includes a sump cover to cover an opening of the sump case, and a self-cleaning assembly for filtering out the foreign particles directed to the flow guide. The flow guide, the sump cover and the self-cleaning assembly are thermally bonded to form a single unit.
Abstract:
A method for sensing vibration of a washing machine including an outer tub installed within a main body, an inner tub rotatably installed within the outer tub, and a motor that drives the inner tub, includes: distributing the laundry put in the inner tub; sensing actual vibration generated when the motor is acceleratedly operated; sensing unbalance mass generated during the accelerated operation of the motor; comparing the sensed actual vibration and the sensed unbalance mass with a reference vibration and a reference unbalance mass; and driving the motor based on the comparison result of the vibration and the unbalance mass. Thus, an unbalance sensing reference which has been set to be too strict more than necessary to sense an abnormal vibration can be mitigated, and thus, time taken for entering the dewatering stroke can be reduced, and because noise smaller than a reference value is generated by limiting vibration of the washing machine during the normal dewatering operation, an agreeable washing environment can be provided to the user.
Abstract:
A supporting apparatus for a washing machine including a plurality of supporting legs mounted on a base fixed to a lower portion of a washing machine main body to move in the vertical direction, a foot mounted on the lower end of the supporting leg to contact the support surface, and a spring provided between the base and the foot, for applying an elastic force to the foot. The supporting apparatus for the washing machine automatically controls the level of the washing machine by the elastic force of the spring, and reduces noises and vibrations during the operation of the washing machine.
Abstract:
A drum-type washing machine, having a plurality of lifts installed on an inner circumferential surface of a drum, enables improved washing performance by providing friction plates on the inclined sides of each lift to increase a frictional force between the lift and laundry. Each lift includes a pair of inclined sides, disposed in opposition to each other to form a shape having a regular trapezoidal cross-section, for lifting laundry; and a pair of friction plates, consisting of a pair of opposing surfaces respectively provided on each inclined side and having a multitude of protuberances formed on both faces, to increase a frictional force with respect to the laundry.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for controlling a driving of a drum type washing machine preventing vibration and noise of a drum, reducing a usage of washing water, and reducing rinse time, and an apparatus thereof. To this end, the drum is rotated with a preset equilibrium speed faster than a speed that vibration of the drum is excessively generated accordingly as a rotation speed of the drum is decreased when a dewatering process of laundry is completed, and washing water is supplied into the drum type washing machine while maintaining the drum as the preset equilibrium speed.
Abstract:
A variable speed motor includes first and second main windings wound on a stator, and a relay for performing a switching operation between serial/parallel connections of the first and second main windings to control motor speed. The variable speed motor further includes a tap winding connected in series to the main windings, or an additional capacitor, such that it can greatly extend the range of a variable speed without using a drive unit capable of changing the motor speed at an external location, resulting in reduced production costs of the motor, reduced electromagnetic vibration noise, and reduced power consumption.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a refrigerator, comprising: a refrigerator main body having a cooling chamber storing foods and a machine room; a base plate installed a lower portion of the main body and mounting a compressor; a lifting unit installed between the base plate and the main body, for supporting the base plate to be moved in an up and down direction; and a locking unit installed at one side of the lifting unit, for locking the lifting unit to restrict an upward/downward movement of the base plate when carrying the refrigerator, by which vibration generated from a compressor can be prevented from being transferred to a refrigerator main body through the base plate, and the compressor mounted on the base plate and pipes can be protected from being damaged by locking the base plate when carrying the refrigerator.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a supporting apparatus for a refrigerator capable of preventing a transfer of an inter-vibration between a refrigerator main body and an installation surface and of adjusting a height of the refrigerator more conveniently, by comprising: at least one or more lifting rods mounted on a lower surface of a refrigerator main body to be adjustable for a height thereof; an upper cap fixed to a lower end of the lifting rod and having an opened lower side; a lower cap movably inserted into the upper cap in an up and down direction; and a damping spring set between the upper cap and the lower cap, for performing a damping operation.

Abstract:
A method for controlling the dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine includes a pre-acceleration step for accelerating a drum to a predetermined control starting speed, and a main accelerating step for accelerating the drum from the control starting speed to a target speed along a linear locus having a preset acceleration slope. A deviation of the center of gravity of the laundry and a pre-spinning time period are reduced in the aforementioned control method.
