Abstract:
Method and apparatus for dispersing fragrances are disclosed. A fragrance emitting device includes a container having a reservoir and a liquid fragrance in the reservoir. A housing having a first and second opening is provided. The container is attached to a first opening in the housing in a position above the housing. A cap positioned on the second opening of the housing. The cap has an outlet covered with a semi-porous material. The liquid fragrance is delivered from the reservoir to the semi-porous material by gravity and is dispersed from the semi-porous material in vapor or gas form. A fan and/or a heater can be included to enhance the dispersement of the fragrance from the semi-porous material.
Abstract:
The present invention is a flavoring and an encapsulant surrounding the flavoring. A shaker, similar to a salt shaker, is provided and the encapsulant is inside the shaker. A plurality of shakers can be provided in a single package for sale. The encapsulant can be selected so that it dissolves in saliva. Alternatively, the encapsulant can be selected so that it dissolves when heated. Additionally, the shaker can also include a number of different flavorings, all of which are encapsulated. Salad dressings, syrups, flavorings, seasonings, spices in encapsulated form can be provided in the shaker. Additionally, other means for dispersing the flavoring, such as a spray bottle, can be provided.
Abstract:
An improved short life coupon system which allows a television viewer to select discount or promotional coupons while viewing a television commercial. This information is analyzed by the central station so that the coupon can be specifically designed to satisfy the viewer and maximize sales.
Abstract:
A pharmacologically active ingredient is encapsulated, and in this encapsulated form, is dispersed throughout a pleasantly flavored medium. When the medium is orally ingested, encapsulation of the pharmacologically active ingredient shields the recipient from any associated unpleasant taste, while beneficially providing the pleasant taste of the flavoring of the medium. The medium may be a liquid or a solid.
Abstract:
A hand held device is provided which contains at least one light emitting diode (LED) and is useful for the elimination of microorganisms as well as therapeutic treatment by light. A method of treatment and a kit are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A network adapted to target an individual operating a microcomputer that is linked to an Internet to offer this individual goods or services appropriate to his needs that are available at a place within reach of the individual's present location. The microcomputer is provided with a GPS receiver that indicates the present location of the individual, this location and the identity of the individual being transmitted from the microcomputer to a web site on the highway. At the web site, a computer associated with a data bank storing the profiles of a multitude of consumers is programmed to find out whether the identified individual is included in the data bank, and to determine from his profile whether there are available at a place reachable from his present location appropriate goods or services. If a match is found, an offer to supply such goods or services is conveyed from the web site to the microcomputer.

Abstract:
A bottle cap for universal retrofitting to one of a number of pre-existing beverage containers containing a beverage and having a removed cap and threaded aperture, having at least one container portion for containing at least one dispensable material, a threaded portion for receiving the threaded aperture and creating, when threaded, a watertight assembly; and bag containing the dispensable material and located in the container portion. Upon screwable attachment of the threaded aperture into the cap, the threaded aperture parses at least a portion of the bag to permit feeding of the material into the beverage. A plurality of such caps are also shown packaged for commercial sale. The material contained in the cap is selected from the group consisting of vitamins, medicaments, teas, flavors, concentrates and water-soluble food material. Also shown is a universal cap further having a moveable aperture assembly creating an open, fluid-flowing state and a closed, fluid-stopped state, having a top portion containing a drinking aperture and an elongated, moveable fluid-flowing portion.

A method and system for utilizing impressions, including advertising logo's and other licensable advertisements, for placement upon commodity-based products (like disposable cups, packaging, plates, utensils and the like), such that licensing revenue or other advertising revenue offset the cost of manufacture of such commodity-based products as well as the cost of purchase of such commodity-based products (to the point of potentially zero) by those non-franchised entities like delicatessens, diners, restaurants, and the like, and even potentially the ultimate purchaser of the food or beverage therein contained, by which a library of licensable impressions are maintained and a system and method is employed to control the library, commodity-based manufacturers and commodity-based purchasers, including demographic data, geographical data, customer lists, and/or data related to a targeted audience of potential purchasers of materials to whom advertisements are thereby directed.
