Abstract: An adapter based connector polarity changer is described. A hook insert is placed into an adapter receptacle at a first end or second, and is removable with a removal tool. A hook insert may be permanently placed into an adapter receptacle. The hook insert oriented in the receptacle in a first position and with a first mating structure interconnects with corresponding connector second mating structure to configure the connector in a first polarity, and the hook insert removed and oriented in a second position with the first mating structure interconnects with corresponding connector second mating structure to configure the connector in a second polarity.

Abstract: A boot assembly having a boot body with a passageway molded from a proximal to distal end of the body. The passageway accepts a repositioning device made of a malleable material such as metal that retains its shape under internal forces of the boot assembly. The boot assembly further comprises one or more cables for fiber optics or power. Bending the flexible boot assembly from a first position to a second position, the flexible boot assembly retains the second position without returning to the first position under the resilient material of the boot.

Abstract: A fiber optic ferrule adapter for mating a multi-fiber optic ferrule and a multi-fiber optic connector includes a holder having a cavity where a multi-fiber optic ferrule is held therein, and a receptacle housing with an opening that allows the insertion of a fiber optic connector. The holder has a top opening for receiving the ferrule into its cavity; and two protrusions, which are respectively protruded from each interior side walls of the holder, for latching the ferrule in place inside the cavity. The holder includes a groove recessed on the interior walls of the cavity for catching a ridge on the ferrule so as to prevent any longitudinal movement of the ferrule inside the cavity. The cavity may include a slope next to an interface between the cavity and receptacle housing for allowing the sliding in-and-out of the ferrule at an angle to the top of the holder opening.

Abstract: An optical connector holding two or more LC-type optical ferrules is provided. The optical connector includes an outer body, an inner front body accommodating the two or more LC-type optical ferrules, ferrule springs for urging the optical ferrules towards a mating receptacle, and a back body for supporting the ferrule springs. The outer body and the inner front body are configured such that four LC-type optical ferrules are accommodated in a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver footprint or eight LC-type optical ferrules are accommodated in a quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP) transceiver footprint. A connector is released by pulling distally on boot assembly until receptacle hook is displaced from receptacle hook recess at a proximal end of connector.

Abstract: An optical connector holding one or more LC-type optical ferrules is provided. The optical connector includes an outer housing, pin keep, and two pins. One pin acts as a push/pull mechanism to release the connector from the adapter. The pin keep has two side clips with one of two side clips having an alignment key on a top surface. The alignment key engages a corresponding surface in the adapter housing to aid in polarity setting of the connector with the adapter. The adapter has a panel mounting clip that contains one or more latches that engage and retain the connector in the adapter housing. The panel clips and surfaces of the connector are constructed to reduce the overall size of the connector and adapter. The adapter has a plural of internal ribs forming one or more channels.

Abstract: Connector assemblies are described herein. For example, a connector assembly including: a housing configured to accept a first ferrule and a second ferrule. The connector assembly may also have a latch component that is removably connected to the housing, wherein the latch component is configured to rotate around the housing. The latch component may have a first locking element configured to engage a second locking element to prevent rotation of the latch component in at least one of a first polarity position to a second polarity position. The connector may further more include a push-pull tab removably connected to the housing and configured to move vertically along the housing when a biasing force is applied in at least one of a forward direction and a rearward direction. Accordingly, the push-pull tab can compress the latch component when moving vertically along the housing.

Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a Network system including: a connector comprising a housing comprising a groove running widthwise on a surface of the housing; and a push-pull tab comprising a complementary groove, wherein the push-pull tab is detachably connected to the housing; and a receiver device comprising one or more ports for receiving the connector, the one or more ports having an interchangeable anchor device including a first portion and a second portion; wherein the groove is configured to receive the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, and wherein the complimentary groove is configured to receive the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, the push-pull tab being configured to disengage the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the complementary groove when the push-pull tab is moved in a direction away from the connector, thereby disengaging the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the grove of the connector. Other aspects are described and claimed.
