Abstract: An assembly for use in a system comprising a plurality of pairs of conductors, and a plug/receptacle for terminating the cable at a rear end thereof, a plurality of evenly spaced terminal contacts/tines respectively exposed along a front of the plug body/within the receptacle, arranged in parallel, and a printed circuit board assembly comprising a plurality of pairs of traces interconnecting each conductor of the pairs of conductors with respective ones of the terminal contacts/tines. A center pair of the conductors is attached to a first pair of the terminal contacts/tines and a second pair of conductors is attached to a second pair of the terminal contacts/tines. The center pair of terminal contacts/tines is positioned between the second pair of contacts/tines wherein in operation a current flow in the center pair of terminal contacts/tines is in a direction substantially away from the second pair of terminal contacts/tines.

Abstract: A reversible fiber optic cassette for mounting with other like cassettes in a rack comprising a cassette receiving tray, the tray comprising a plurality of cassette engaging features on an upper surface is disclosed. The cassette comprises N duplex pairs of optic fiber receptacles arranged along a front thereof, a multifiber receptacle on a back thereof and 2*N optic fiber segments each between a respective one of the optic fiber receptacles and the multifiber receptacle, N discrete port identifiers on a first surface thereof and N discrete port identifiers on a second surface opposite the first surface. The first set of N identifiers is the same as the second set of N identifiers and for M between 1 to N, an Mth port identifier of the first set and an (N-M+1)th port identifier of the second set is adjacent an Mth one of the duplex pairs of optic fiber receptacles.

Abstract: A fiber optic cross connect system comprising a case defining a tray receiving space and at least one tray slideable in and out of the space between a first closed position, a second intermediate position and a third open or accessible position and a sliding engagment between a sidewall of the case and a side edge of the tray is disclosed. The sliding engagment comprises an elongate link member which is stationary as the tray is moved between the first closed position and the second intermediate position and moves with the tray as the tray is moved between the second intermediate and the third open position and such that the elongate link member does not interfere with fiber optic cables which are interconnecting external devices with devices on the tray. In a particular embodiment the link member is held stationary by a releasable locking mechanism.

Abstract: A patch panel system is disclosed comprising a plurality of trays wherein each tray is stored within a patch panel housing but moveable towards the front of the housing into one of a patch position or an extended position. The tray is lockable in either the patch position or the extended position. In the extended position a front tray section holding one or more fiber optic connectors or modules is tiltable versus a rear tray section. In particular embodiment the tray can also be moved from the stored position into a retracted position behind the housing. A release mechanism comprising a lock is also provided which can be actuated to release the lock thereby allowing the tray to be slid out of the patch position and the extended position.
