    摘要: A supply assembly for use with a hydrant comprising a first supply valve adapted for coupling to a first supply line of the hydrant and a second supply valve adapted for coupling to a second supply line of the hydrant. A housing contains a first drain valve and a second drain valve. The first supply valve is coupled to the first drain valve for permitting water to be drained from the first supply line when a first outlet of the hydrant is off, and the second supply valve is coupled to the second drain valve for permitting water to be drained from the second supply line when a second outlet of the hydrant is off. The first supply valve is above the second supply valve to permit radially compact nesting of the first supply valve and the second supply valve. Related assemblies, valves and methods are provided.

    摘要: A self-draining hydrant comprising a supply line coupled to an outlet and a housing adapted for placement in the ground and for coupling to a water supply. The housing can selectively provide water from the water supply to the supply line and has a reservoir for receiving drained water from the supply line. A piston is movable in a direction of travel from a first position to a second position within the housing for engaging the drained water and expelling it from the reservoir. The piston has a seal for engaging the housing to provide a seal with respect to the drained water. The housing has at least one slot extending in the direction of travel and engageable by the seal for permitting drained water to pass the seal.

    摘要: An automatic system and method for the separation of blood into component parts includes a conically shaped collection and separation bag, component bags connected to the collection and separation bag, a sensor, valves to seal the connections between the component bags and the collection and separation bag, a centrifuge and a controller for controlling the process. Blood is placed in the collection and separation bag and is separated by centrifuging. The components are removed from the collection and separation bag either directly or indirectly by the centrifugal force into the component bags. Flow of the components is directed by automatic opening and closing of the valves in response to the position of the interface between the separated components determined by the sensor or elapsed time.
