摘要： A portable heater providing both radiant and forced air heat includes a plurality of vertically oriented, horizontally spaced apart quartz heating tubes is partially surrounded by a common reflector configured to open at an obtuse angle at each quartz tube. The reflector is perforated to allow air to pass out from the interior of the heater. A housing surrounds the reflector and heating elements. A fan located toward the top of the heater draws air inward and down the channels behind the reflector from which it emerges past the heating elements. Control knobs for controlling a thermostat and output power level are located at the top surface of the housing. The heater also has automatic safety controls for shutting off power in the event the heater tips over or overheats, and an overcurrent device.

摘要： A humidifier which creates a visually entertaining helical flow of mist generally includes a base unit defining a reservoir for holding a quantity of water, a water tank supported on the base unit for supplying water to the reservoir, a humidification device, such as an ultrasonic transducer, in communication with the reservoir for vaporizing the water held in the reservoir to produce a mist, a vortex unit supported on the base unit and a nozzle and a vortex creator positioned in the vortex unit. The vortex unit has an opening disposed above the base unit reservoir to permit the mist produced by the humidification device to rise upwardly into the vortex unit. The nozzle is positioned adjacent the mist opening for introducing a carrier medium flow into the vortex unit and the vortex creator is positioned above the nozzle and the mist opening for diverting the upwardly rising mist from the reservoir into the carrier medium flow from the nozzle and directing a combined mist and carrier medium flow into a helical path within the vortex unit.

摘要： An air purifier unit having a mounting assembly that allows the mounting of the unit underneath a cabinet or on any like flat surface. A cartridge filter is provided and easily ejected or replaced through a filter door in the face of the enclosure. A motor speed indicator circuit enables the user to visually monitor the speed of the motor and blower. Air is drawn into the housing of the unit through an intake opening on the bottom surface of the housing, forced through a cartridge filter, and expelled out an air exhaust opening.
