A developer supply device includes a developer-carrying body having a developer-carrying surface that faces an intended device in a first position and moves in a moving direction, a first transfer board that faces the developer-carrying surface in a second position upstream relative to the first position in the moving direction and transfers the developer to the second position in a direction opposite to the moving direction in the second position, an electrification member facing the developer-carrying surface in a third position downstream relative to the second position and upstream relative to the first position in the moving direction, and a second transfer board that faces the developer-carrying surface in a fourth position downstream relative to the first position and upstream relative to the second position in the moving direction and transfers the developer to a developer storage section in a direction identical to the moving direction in the fourth position.

A developer supply device is provided, which includes side seal members each of which is disposed to extend across a casing-side facing portion of a casing and a supporting-member-side facing portion of a board supporting member, the casing-side facing portion and the supporting-member-side facing portion facing one of both ends of a developer carrying surface in a first direction, the developer carrying surface being a cylindrical circumferential surface of a roller main body which surface is formed parallel to the first direction to carry development agent thereon. Each of the side seal member is configured to slide in contact with one of both ends of the developer carrying surface in the first direction while filling in a gap between the casing and one of both ends of the roller main body in the first direction.

A developer supply device configured to supply charged development agent to an intended device, includes a carrying assist member disposed, apart from a developer transfer path, to face a developer carrying surface of a developer carrying member at an upstream side relative to a developer carrying position, in which a transfer board is opposite and in closest proximity to the developer carrying surface, in a direction in which the developer carrying surface moves when the developer carrying member is driven to rotate. The carrying assist member is configured to, when a predetermined voltage is applied thereto, generate an electric field, under which the charged development agent heads for the developer carrying surface, between the carrying assist member and the developer carrying member.

There is provided a thermal fixing unit that fixes a toner image on a printing medium, the fixing unit including a heat member, a pressure pad, a movable supporting assembly, and an urging member. The heat member is in contact with the printing medium, being positionally fixed and defining an axis. The pressure pad is disposed in opposition to the heat member for nipping the printing medium in cooperation with the heat member. The supporting assembly pivotably movably supports the pressure pad. The urging member biases the supporting assembly to urge the pressure pad toward the heat member for providing pressure contact between the heat member and the pressure pad.
