The device includes a first engagement element associable with the lower dental arch or mandible and a second engagement element associable with the upper dental arch or maxilla. The engagement elements are provided with a first inclined engagement surface and a second inclined engagement surface for determining said mandibular advancement. The first engagement element includes a core covered by a covering body provided with a pocket adapted to the housing of the core, the second engagement element includes an orthodontic screw adapted to determine the displacement of the second inclined plane, the core having an inclined portion destined to define, in cooperation with the respective covering, the first inclined engagement surface.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Measuring instrument for orthodontic appliances comprising a body with a handle and a rectilinear head oriented orthogonally to the handle, wherein from a distal edge of the head protrudes an appendix, wherein said appendix is orthogonal to the head, that is, the appendix is oriented parallel to the handle, and is formed by a base having a predetermined width from which emerges a pin having a length which is also predetermined; the head is provided with a millimeter scale on at least one side of the appendix; the width of the base is a value selected among a plurality of predetermined values and is equal to the distance between the bodies of a palatal expander in closed configuration.
Abstract:
Expansion screw for orthodontic appliances, including at least one stem (1) with at least a threaded portion (10) extending along the longitudinal extension of the stem (1), at least one receiving body (3) for receiving the threaded portion (10) provided with a receiving hole complementarily shaped with respect to the threaded portion (10) so as to allow its screwing, guide structure (2) for guiding the at least one receiving body (3), driving mechanism (11, 12) for driving the stem (1), and including a positioning tab (6) composed of multiple parts (60, 61) associated with each other to support the expansion screw (100) when the orthodontic appliance is made, the tab (6) being provided with at least an appendix (62) that can be stably inserted into a cavity (12) exhibited by the expansion screw (100).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cap for removable dental prosthesis, a removable prosthesis and a process for the production of a removable prosthesis; the cap for removable dental prosthesis is suitable to be anchored by one or more implants which consist of an artificial root (1) and an abutment (4), said cap (6) being adapted to be received in the prosthesis (8) to be fit on said abutment (4) for defining a stable but removable constraint which allows the detachment of the prosthesis from the abutment; the cap is provided with a threaded outer surface (68).
Abstract:
A surgical guide system for dental implantology has a plate (10) provided with a guide sleeve (2) delimiting a through hole with an axis oriented to a predetermined direction. A drill (4) for osteotomy has a spindle connected to a handpiece with drilling portion (41), the drill (4) being for association with the guide sleeve (2) during osteotomy. The diameter (d41) of the drilling head portion (41) is larger than the inner diameter (d2) of the guide sleeve (2) and the spindle is of smaller diameter, such that the association of the drill (4) to any of the guide sleeves (2) can be performed only by inserting the spindle through a gingival side of the sleeves. Upon association of the drill with the sleeve, the drilling head (41) protrudes from the gingival side (2G) thereof. The surgical guide has a void (100) accommodating the drilling head (41) of the drill.
Abstract:
Tool for handling palatal expanders, including two opposed jaws adapted to clamp at least one body of a palatal expander, a handle, and actuation means adapted to move said jaws between a clamping position on said at least one body and respectively a release position, said jaws being bound elastically to one another and are normally spaced from each other, and said actuation means comprising a slider slidably mounted on the outer surfaces of the jaws, the slider being provided with a part adapted to interact with said outer surfaces so as to compress the jaws by pushing them toward each other when it is made to slide along a first direction and free them when it is made to slide along a second direction, said actuation means being adapted to firmly but reversibly lock the jaws in said clamping position.
Abstract:
Self-activated orthodontic expander including a left frame and a right frame, where the left frame and right frame include, respectively, a left body and a right body, each having anchoring means for anchoring them to the teeth of a dental arch. The bodies have through holes oriented in a predetermined expansion direction, where the frames are slidably mounted along the expansion direction by guides inserted into the holes of the bodies. Elastic elements are arranged and acting between the frames. The guides are further constrained with each other by a bridge oriented orthogonally to the same guides and adapted to prevent the reciprocal movement of the guides.
Abstract:
Expansion screw for orthodontics, comprising at least one stem (1) with at least a threaded portion (10) extending along the longitudinal extension of the stem (1), at least one receiving body (3) adapted for receiving said threaded portion (10) and provided with a complementarily threaded hole allowing said threaded portion (10) to be screwed therein, guide means (2) allowing said at least one receiving body (3) to be moved, actuation means (11, 12) for actuating said stem (1). The hole (31) of said at least one receiving body (3) has a longitudinal extension substantially corresponding to that of the threaded portion (10) of said at least one stem (1). The receiving body (3) is a technopolymer receiving body and the stem (1) is embedded in the technopolymer of the receiving body when the expansion screw (100) is made.
