摘要： A hand-grippable adhesive tape applicator is provided for building construction and other environments. The hand-held device has a frame supporting an applicator roller rotatably mounted at a forward portion of the frame, and tape spool also is rotatably mounted to the frame to support a roll of the transfer adhesive material and unreel transfer adhesive material to the applicator roll as the applicator roll moves against a substrate with the adhesive layer in contact therewith. A release liner take-up spindle is rotatably mounted to the frame between the tape spool and the applicator roll to take-up the release liner. A drive means interconnects the tape spool and release liner take-up spindle for synchronized rotation, and tape spool retaining means and take-up spindle retaining means restrict rotational speeds thereof to reduce slippage thereof.

摘要： The utilization of a specific load transfer device for the purpose of allowing for reliable connection and adhesion of composite wood boards during edifice manufacture therewith is provided. Such a device is configured for containment within slots cut into the peripheral edges of such wood boards and cut into a shape therein that is complementary to that of the device itself. In such a manner, the device, when introduced within the properly shaped slot, permits separation of adjacent wood boards that are sequentially applied to the frame of the target edifice, as well as, ultimately, sufficient load bearing strength for the overall construction (such as a roof) within which such connected wood boards are utilized. The separation of wood boards thus permits proper sealing therebetween (with tape, sealant, or other like material) as well as proper distance for shrinking or swelling (due to moisture/temperature variations) to be taken into account during the lifetime of the edification (thereby permitting expansion as needed). The ability to impart increased load bearing strength thus allows for an increase in construction materials (in number and in weight) to be carried and kept on such a structure during construction as well. The method of manufacture of an edifice utilizing such load transfer devices between wood boards is also encompassed within this invention.

摘要： A phase- or frequency-locked loop circuit (200) that generates an accurate output signal (ACC_SYN_OUT) even in the presence of edge-triggering-type glitches (148, 304A, 304B) in the input reference clock signal (REF_CLK). The locked-loop circuit includes a phase or frequency difference detector (216) and a glitch detector (208) that generates a trigger signal (GLITCH_DETECTED) upon detection of at least one glitch. The trigger signal resets the difference detector so as to abort the updating of the output signal that the glitch would otherwise cause.

摘要： A floppy disk drive with automatic disc clamping and ejection is disclosed. The movement of the linear actuator is used to provide both the clamping and ejection, without other drive means. A pair of magnetic heads, positioned on opposing sides of a drive wheel, are fixed to a carriage, one engages the upper surface of the disc, the other the lower surface. Neither head moves relative to the other. The drive components are easily assembled providing a relatively inexpensive, yet reliable drive.

摘要： Approaches for a non-volatile, solid-state storage system that is capable of supporting high bandwidth and/or random read/write access. The storage system may include a chassis having a bus slot and a disk bay, a master card mounted in the bus slot, and a flash memory card stacked in the disk bay and cabled to the master card. The master card enables one or more flash memory cards to be communicatively coupled to a single PCI Express bus. The master card may split a multi-lane PCI Express bus into a plurality of lanes, where one or more of the flash memory cards communicate over each of the plurality of lanes. Alternately, the master card may includes active circuitry for processing, switching, routing, reformatting, and/or converting the PCI Express bus into one or more busses for a plurality of flash memory cards. The stacked flash memory card is not in an enclosure.
