A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving graphical data are provided. The apparatus for transmitting includes a graphical data generating unit that generates graphical data; an encoder that converts the graphical data into a JPEG 2000 code stream; and a transmitting unit that transmits video streams and the code stream. The apparatus for receiving includes a receiving unit that extracts an JPEG 2000 code stream; a decoder that decodes the code stream; and a display unit that displays a video stream included in the received stream and the decoded code stream. The method for transmitting the graphical data includes generating graphical data; converting the data into a JPEG 2000 code stream; and transmitting video streams and the JPEG 2000 code stream. The method for receiving the graphical data includes extracting a JPEG 2000 code stream; decoding the code stream; and displaying the decoded code stream and a video stream.

A Charge Coupled Device (CCD) camera and a method for controlling the same. When a photographing command is input from the input unit by operation of user, the controller controls the iris drive unit so as to open and close the iris periodically for a preset time. Also, the control reads electric signals accumulated in the CCD imaging unit according to fields by light incident according to the opening of the iris, and then stores the read CCD data in the memory according to fields. Then, each CCD datum read from the CCD imaging unit is stored in the memory in the raw datum state without addition of an adjacent datum. Next, the controller generates a second odd field and a second even field by adding offset values, according to fields, to each CCD signal of the raw data state stored in the memory, and then forms a still image by combining the second odd field and the second even field.

An apparatus and method for guaranteeing the integrity of a PCI bus is disclosed. Multiple general purpose computers are connected using the PCI bus, and the PCI bus signals between or among them are compared. The present invention comprises general purpose computers, PCI monitoring cards, and network lines. An apparatus and a method for detecting faults are provided without adopting an exclusive CPU board or input/output bus to detect faults. A PCI monitoring card is appended to each general purpose computer system, and the computer systems are connected to electronic communication media.

Provided are an auto-stabilization method of controlling driving an image pickup device and reading a memory, and a photographing apparatus having the auto-stabilization method. The photographing apparatus includes an image pickup device photographing an optical image of an object focused on an optical surface including an effective pixel area and a reserved pixel area of predetermined size prepared outside the effective pixel area to generate an image signal. An image pickup device driver drives the image pickup device to output an image signal generated in a pixel area greater than the effective pixel area. A signal processor performs predetermined signal processing on the image signal output from the image pickup device. A memory stores the image signal that has undergone the predetermined signal processing in the unit of field. An auto-stabilizer produces an auto-stabilized area using the image signal stored in the memory.

A combination imaging apparatus using a reflector and method are provided. The present combination imaging apparatus and method comprise a lens assembly for forming an optical image corresponding to a subject, and first and second charge-coupled devices (CCDs) each for converting the optical image into an electrical image signal, The apparatus and method further comprise a reflector for changing an optical path of light incident through the lens assembly and forming an optical image on any of the first and second CCDs, and a circuit part for processing, reproducing, and storing the converted optical image of any of the first and second CCDs. Accordingly, the combination imaging apparatus can capture high-quality moving pictures and still images using a single lens assembly.
