Abstract:
A retaining device, having: a structure to retain one or a plurality of information browsing devices having a display section and a control section, wherein the structure is fixed onto a main body or an accessory of a processing apparatus to process a document to be displayed on the information browsing device, and configured in a way that at least a portion of the display section of the information browsing device plugged in a front can be seen squarely from a front of the display section.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes a carriage having mounted thereon a linear light source and an image sensor and a reference pattern member disposed at a reference position located toward the first direction from a home position. The current location of the carriage is judged relatively to first and second areas that are divided by a boundary defined in advance at a location toward the first direction from the reference position. The first area is located toward the first direction and the second area is located toward the second direction. Immediately after the power is turned ON, current location information indicating whether the carriage is currently located in the first area or the second area is read from the nonvolatile memory. The carriage is first moved to the reference position and then moved a predetermined distance in the second direction, so that the carriage is duly positioned at the home position.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus optically reads a document, which is placed on a document platen facing upward, from above. The image reading apparatus has a ultrasonic sensor. A ultrasonic wave is emitted from the ultrasonic sensor toward the document placed on the document platen, and distance from the ultrasonic sensor to the document are detected based on the time differential of the reflected wave from the document. Furthermore, the position of the document can be detected based on the strength or weakness of the reflected wave from the document. In this way the shape of the document in the document height direction can be detected. Moreover, the shape of the document in the document height direction can be accurately detected regardless of the document color.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic information terminal device, which makes it possible to establish an area having an arbitral shape only by performing a simple action on a multi-touchable panel provided therewith. The device includes: a display section that is provided with a touch panel, which is capable of detecting two or more touched positions simultaneously; and an area setting control section that establishes an area based on a moving locus of a line segment connecting a plurality of touched positions, when at least one of the plurality of touched positions has moved, so as to make the display section display an image in which information residing within the area, above-established, is erased, or in which another information is added into the area above-established. The device is provided with an erasing operation mode for erasing a figure and a depicting operation mode for depicting another figure in a selectable manner.
Abstract:
Provided is a proofreading device capable of accepting proofreader's marks, which includes: a user attribute identification section configured to identify an attribute of a user; a storage section configured to store proofreader's mark sets and attributes of users in association with each other and to store intermediate mark set to be used to place the proofreader's marks having the same meaning among the proofreader's sets in correspondence to each other; a proofreader's-mark-set selection section configured to a proofreader's mark set corresponding to the attribute of the user; a proofreader's mark conversion section configured to convert the proofreader's marks, added to a document by a first proofreader, into intermediate marks, to convert the intermediate marks into the proofreader's marks of the proofreader's mark set selected on the basis of the attribute of a second user, and to cause a display section to display the converted proofreader's marks together with the document.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus, an image processing program and an image processing method for forming a composite image by superimposing an overlay image on a base image. When all the CMYK planes in a block of the overlay image have a gray level of 0, the gray levels of all the CMYK planes are set to 0 for the corresponding block. When at least one of the CMYK planes in a block of the overlay image has a gray level not less than 1, the gray level of the other planes, which are 0, are set to an invisible gray level for the corresponding block, and the gray level of the plane, which is not less than 1, is kept for the corresponding block.
