    摘要: An optical wavelength selector is provided that selects WDM channels from WDM optical signal and outputs each WDM channels from a plurality of ports. WDM optical signal in which m×n WDM channels are multiplexed is divided into n WDM channel groups and outputted by means of one wavelength-division demultiplexer. One WDM channel group is selected from the n WDM channel groups by means of n optical gate switches. The selected WDM optical signal is then separated into m WDM channels by wavelength and outputted by means of an optical wavelength router. As a result, m WDM channels of a specific WDM channel group can be received by m optical receivers.

    摘要: An automatic frequency control system, for an optical coherent communication system, in which the frequency of local oscillation light 5 from a coherent light communication receiver 100 is swept to pull the intermediate frequency to a stable AFC point. The AFC is caused to operate with an intermediate frequency in the AFC operation range, and interrupted. Subsequently while sweeping the frequency of local oscillation light 5 in a certain direction in a predetermined range, the output voltage of frequency discriminator 9 is monitored. Once the change of the output voltage of frequency discriminator 9 due to the sweep exceeds the predetermined threshold value, the AFC resumes for pulling to a stable point.

    摘要: A source node of a network transmits a path setup message for requesting a traffic path to a destination node. First and second nodes, located between the source and destination nodes, establishes first and second parallel transport paths on a first fault recovery layer between them. The first node further includes a database for storing identities of the first and second paths as a single virtual link as viewed from the source node. The first node responds to the path setup message for accommodating the traffic path on a second fault recovery layer through the first transport path. Each node accommodates the traffic path through the second transport path when the first transport path fails. The first node advertises recovery type of the virtual link as equal to the recovery type of the first and second transport paths, and/or equal to most unreliable recovery type of its component links.

    摘要: In a communications network where first and second nodes are interconnected by communication links, a source node transmits a path setup message for requesting a traffic path to a destination node. Each of the first and second nodes includes routing control means for establishing first and second transport paths on a first fault recovery layer between the first and second nodes. The first node further includes a database for storing identities of the first and second paths as a single virtual link as viewed from the source node. The first node responds to the path setup message from the source node for establishing the traffic path on a second fault recovery layer through the first transport path. The first and second nodes accommodate the traffic path through the second transport path when the first transport path is not working properly.

    摘要: A hierarchized path setting system in a communication network efficiently contains lower order paths in higher order path. The communication network has a plurality of nodes capable to perform switching process and demultiplexing process not only for lower order paths in a predetermined hierarchical level among hierarchized paths but also for higher order paths in a hierarchical level higher than the predetermined hierarchical level, and a plurality of links connecting these nodes.     摘要: The present invention provides means by which a switch controller that manages lines directly notifies receivers of ineffectiveness of received data upon line disconnection instead of any transmitter indirectly notifying receivers; and according to the invention, an optical transmitter is provided within the optical switching unit, and a switch controller controls the optical transmitter within the optical switching unit and an optical switch having at its input ports one or more dummy ports capable of multicast-transmission. According to this control, upon line disconnection, receivers are connected to the optical transmitter within the optical switching unit that transmits control code in real time, thereby preventing receivers from receiving ineffective data and obviating superfluous signal lines and communication processes between the switch controller and transmitters.
