Abstract:
Disclosed is a keypad assembly including a light guide panel, light, at least one light extracting pattern provided on the light guide panel so that light propagating inside the light guide panel is directed out of the light guide panel, a switch board having at least one switch; and at least one light source for coupling light to the inside of the light guide panel, wherein the light guide panel has a thickness of 0.03-0.6 mm.
Abstract:
A touch screen includes a touch panel providing an image for a user's information input, including a first image sensor, which is arranged at a side or disposed in a side of the touch panel for detecting an input position of the user using an image. A first lens system forms a plurality of pixel regions on an image pickup surface of the first image sensor and having a plurality of lenses, each lens for forming an image of an input member of the user, which is located within a corresponding angle of view, in a corresponding pixel region. An optional second lens system, arranged at another side of the touch panel, typically substantially perpendicular to the first lens system also detects an image of the input member.
Abstract:
In a bi-directional optical transceiver module, a first waveguide transmits a optical signal received from a light source to a high reflection layer formed on a waveguide substrate. A second waveguide extends from the optical fiber to the high reflection layer. With a first mode coupling region formed by ends of the first and second waveguides near the high reflection layer, the second waveguide transmits the transmission optical signal mode-coupled from the first waveguide to the optical fiber and receives the reception optical signal from the optical fiber. A third waveguide extends from the optical detector to near an end of the optical fiber. With a second mode coupling region formed by an end of the third waveguide and the other end of the second waveguide, the third waveguide transmits the reception optical signal mode-coupled from the second waveguide to the optical detector.
Abstract:
A magnetic field shielding layer that does not affect an operation of a geo-magnetic sensor in a pointing input device of a touch screen type using an electromagnetic pen is provided. A magnetic field shielding layer is composed of magnetic metal powder. The magnetic field shielding layer is formed directly on the pointing input device without a need for a separate adhesive layer.
Abstract:
A color electronic paper keypad device is provided that includes an electronic paper sheet having a plurality of electrode patterns. One or more of the plurality of electrode patterns displays a color depending on whether an electric field is applied. The device also includes a color display disposed over the electronic paper sheet. The color display changes the displayed color depending on whether a second electric field is applied. An illumination light reflects from or transmits through the color display to change the displayed color of the one or more electrode patterns. The device further includes a front light unit for illuminating said color display.
Abstract:
A key pad apparatus includes a key top part; an illuminating part for introducing the light of a light emitting element and diffusing the same; a first variable color display part to be irradiated by the diffused light from the illuminating part for selectively transforming its color to be reflected or transmitted according to an electrical signal; a first base film provided with a laminate under the first variable color display part and formed with a first printed surface; a second variable color display part provided with the laminate under the first base film to be irradiated by the diffused light from the illuminating part for selectively transforming its color to be reflected or transmitted according to an electrical signal; and a second base film provided with the laminate under the second variable color display part and formed with a first printed surface.
Abstract:
An input feedback method and apparatus in a portable terminal having a touch input device are provided, in which a user's finger contact on a screen having a plurality of objects displayed is sensed, a value sensed from the finger contact is compared with at least one threshold, and a vibration is generated in a different manner according to a comparison result.
Abstract:
A touch screen panel apparatus is provided. The touch screen panel apparatus includes a first electrode layer including a plurality of first electrode lines arranged in a first direction to be spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance; a plurality of first odd-numbered electrode plates coupled to odd-numbered lines of the first electrode lines; and a plurality of first even-numbered electrode plates coupled to even-numbered lines of the first electrode lines. The plurality of first odd-numbered electrode plates and the plurality of first even-numbered electrode plates are alternately arranged in a second direction different from the first direction.
Abstract:
A touch screen includes a display screen having an upper surface that provides picture information, and an optical module that emits rays in directions that can be parallel with the upper surface of the screen. When an object, such as a stylus, pen or a finger is placed on the screen to select a portion of the picture information provided on the screen, at least a portion of the rays are reflected off of the object and detected in order to determine a position of the object on the screen. The position of the object can be calculated in various ways including calculating a position of the object based on a phase delay of the reflected rays, or based on an intensity of the reflected rays, or based on an incidence angle of the reflected rays.
Abstract:
A touch screen is provided, in which a first layer of a transparent electrode is spaced from a second layer of a transparent electrode and a refraction index matching layer is interposed between the first and second layers of the transparent electrodes.
