Abstract:
An optical disk drive with a defocus-prohibited device comprising: a frame; a cover disposed on the frame; a disk-rotating device disposed at an end of the frame; two guiding rods disposed at sides of the frame respectively and elongated from the end with the disk-rotating device to another end of the frame; a pick-up head capable of moving back and forth on the two guiding rods, and reading an optical disk driven by the disk-rotating device; and at least one flexible member being disposed between the pick-up head and the cover for providing a force on the pick-up head in advance.
Abstract:
A disc emergent ejecting mechanism for an optical disc drive is disclosed that includes a drive motor; a first gear set in meshing engagement with the drive motor; an advancing and retracting member; a second gear set in meshing engagement with the advancing and retracting member; and a clutch assembly including a clutch gear engaged with the first and the second gear sets for transmitting torque from the drive motor to the advancing and retracting member. During a disc emergent ejecting operation, the clutch gear is moved to disengage with the second gear set.
Abstract:
A tray locking device adapted to an optical disc drive for locking and releasing a tray is provided. The optical disc drive has an optical head connected to a lead screw and driven to move by the lead screw. The tray locking device includes a pushing member driven to move by the lead screw, a latching hook for locking and releasing a protruding pin, and a transmission assembly configured between the pushing member and the latching hook. The transmission assembly includes a first rod and a second rod movably configured in the tray. The first rod has a first driving portion, and the second rod has a second driving portion. When the transmission assembly is located at an initial position, the first driving portion is located on a moving path of the pushing member, while the second driving portion is not located on the moving path of the pushing member.

A tray locking device of an optical disc drive is adapted to lock and release a tray. The optical disc drive has an optical head engaged to a lead screw and driven to be moved by the lead screw. The tray locking device includes: a pushing member, disposed on the optical head; a first stop portion, disposed on the tray; a latching hook, adapted to latch and release a pin; and a transmission assembly, disposed between the pushing member and the latching hook and having a lever element and a weight block, wherein the lever element is movably disposed on the tray and has a second stop portion, and the first stop portion and the second stop portion can be coupled with each other.
Abstract:
A disk drive includes an insert-and-eject device and a disk guide unit. The insert-and-eject device is used for inserting an optical disk into and ejecting the disk from the disk drive. The disk guide unit includes a rack and a slide member connected operably to the insert-and-eject device in such a manner that reciprocal movement of the disk guide unit along a first direction permits the slide member to drive the insert-and-eject device to insert and eject the optical disk from the disk drive. An emergency release device is mounted on the slide member, and includes a horizontal element movable along a second direction. The rack is formed with a retention groove such that the movement of the horizontal element along the second direction permits a part of the horizontal element extend within or exit the retention groove so as to couple the slide member with the rack or to disengage the slide member from the rack.
