    Abstract: A system which has a static mixer and which contains a dental material. The static mixer has a mixing barrel that extends along a longitudinal axis and, accommodated therein, a cascade of mixing elements. Mixing elements have an outer diameter D of between 1.5 mm and 1.6 mm. The barrel has an inner diameter corresponding to the outer diameter of the mixing elements. The system helps minimizing any residual dental material in the mixer and minimizing forces for extruding the dental material through the mixer.

    Abstract: A device for mixing and dispensing at least two flowable components comprises a housing front face with an outlet for the components and a piston having a piston front face. The piston is arranged such that the piston front face and the housing front face are facing each other. The piston front face and the housing front face are adapted to form a channel for the components between each other. The device is adapted to reduce the channel upon urging the piston front face and the housing front face against each other and thereby to displace the components to flow toward the outlet. The device facilitates mixing and dispensing a multi-component dental material.

    Abstract: A method of layerwise building up an object from at least a first and a second light hardenable resin on a 3D printing device, and a 3D printing device that is configured to perform such a method. The 3D printing device has a build platform on which the object can be built up, a light-transmissive carrier comprising a plurality of recesses and a light projector for projecting a light-pattern through the carrier. The method has the steps of (a) partially building up the object and thereby providing an object-in-process; (b) coating a first surface area of the carrier with a first blank layer of the first light hardenable resin; (c) moving the carrier and thereby positioning the first blank layer between the build platform and the light projector; (d) bringing the object-in-process into contact with the first blank layer; (e) irradiating the first blank layer with a light pattern and thereby supplementing the object-in-process by a hardened layer; and (f) separating the supplemented object-in-process from the carrier.

    Abstract: A dispenser has a bottle (2) and a closure (3) for the bottle (2). The closure (3) has abase (4) forming a dispensing outlet (6) and a flip-cap for openably closing the dispensing outlet (6). The base (4) is attached on the bottle (2). The dispenser (1) further having a hinge (7) which interconnects the flip-cap and the base (4) for swiveling the flip-cap relative to the base (4) between a closed position, in which the flip-cap closes the outlet (6), and an open position in which the outlet (6) is open. The hinge (7) forms a swivel axis. The closure (3) forms a first end (18, 19) in a direction toward the flip-cap and a second end (18, 19) in a direction toward the base (4). The closure (3) in an area between the hinge-level plane and the second end (18, 19) forms an outer surface circumferentially around the longitudinal axis which is at least partly provided by an outer surface of the base (4) and an outer surface of the flip-cap.

    Abstract: A method of monolithically forming a flip-top cap from a thermoplastic material and a flip-top cap for dispensing a flowable dental substance. The flip-top cap has a base from which a dropper nose protrudes and a closure. The base and the closure are hingedly connected to each other by a living hinge for pivoting between a closed position, in which the closure closes the dropper nose, and an open position, in which the dropper nose is uncovered from the closure. The method has the steps of injection molding the flip-top cap in the open position in an injection molding device and positioning the closure and the base toward the closed position while the flip-top cap is still the injection molding device.
