A novel process for lightening human keratin fibers comprising applying to the fibers at least one anhydrous composition (A) comprising at least one fatty substance and at least one surfactant, at least one composition (B) comprising at least one organic amine having a pKb less than 12, and at least one composition (C) comprising at least one oxidizing agent and leaving the compositions on the fibers for a period of time sufficient to lighten the fibers, and a multi-compartment device or kit, wherein at least one first compartment comprises the at least one anhydrous composition (A), at least one second compartment comprises the at least one composition (B), and at least one third compartment comprises the at least one composition (C).

The invention relates to a composition comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one particular direct dye.The invention further relates to a method for treating keratin fibers, in particular human keratin fibers, using the abovementioned composition, and a device comprising it.Finally, its subject is the use of the composition according to the invention as agent for lightening and/or as agent for dyeing said fibers.

A subject-matter of the present invention is the use, in the colouring of keratinous fibres, of a specific anionic hydrotropic agent of formula: in which X represents CH or N, n represents an integer varying from 0 to 12, R1 represents COOM or SO3M, R2 represents a hydroxyl or a C1-C4 alkyl, R3 represents hydrogen or a C1-C4 alkyl, R2 and R3 can together form a ring and M represents hydrogen or one or more inorganic cations providing the electrical neutrality of the compound of formula (I). The invention likewise relates to a dyeing composition comprising at least one dye and such an anionic hydrotrope and to colouring processes employing this dyeing composition.
