摘要： A system and a method for improving wireless communications between a call center and a vehicle. The system and method can reduce the number of wireless connections needed between a call center and a vehicle by using multimedia messaging service (MMS) messages to convey information therebetween. This obviates the need for the call center to make an initial wireless connection simply to alert the vehicle that it wishes to communicate. Instead, the system and method can convey information or push down content to the vehicle on a very first connection, which can reduce wireless connections and improve reliability.

The method includes configuring a primary diagnostic script for a telematics equipped mobile vehicle, providing the primary diagnostic script to the mobile vehicle, executing the primary diagnostic script, and collecting diagnostic data based on the executed primary diagnostic script. The primary diagnostic script may recreate known problem sequences when executed or may trigger data capture when specific conditions exist. The step of configuring the primary diagnostic script may include determining at least one diagnostic script based on diagnostic options and retrieving the at least one determined diagnostic script. One or more diagnostic scripts may be combined into the primary diagnostic script.

摘要： A method for organizing data presented to a user in a vehicle includes monitoring, at a call center, a routine of the user. Monitoring takes into account a then-current day, a then-current time of day, a then-current vehicle location, and a point of interest associated with the routine. At least one point of interest parameter, a time of day parameter, a day parameter, and a vehicle location boundary is generated based on the user's routine. The method further includes recognizing that the user is outside the vehicle location boundary on a day associated with the day parameter and at a time associated with the time of day parameter. The call center generates at least one datum based on the at least one point of interest parameter and a then-current location of the vehicle, and transmits the at least one datum to a telematics unit operatively disposed in the vehicle.
