Abstract:
A cosmetic container comprises an insert which is preassembled to a brush by means of an undercut ring located beneath a brush flange and cooperating with an undercut recess in the throat of the insert. The insert walls are held by friction in the container and anchored externally to the container by a ring which extends peripherally from the threaded container wall. An undercut in the insert external flange engages the ring to complete the anchor. The insert is molded from polymer that repels the cosmetic product owing to molecular polarity. The insert functions as a sealing mechanism and a means to keep product from reaching the top of the container or on the container threads. The insert walls may also be shaped as a liquid inhibitor to retard flow from the container if the bottle is tipped over inadvertently.
Abstract:
A cosmetic jar and storage device comprises a substantially cylindrical body having a first recess for holding cosmetic and a second recess for holding an applicator. The recesses are separated by a transverse member into individual compartments. A pin-hinged base maintains the applicator in the lower compartment. The base may be swung completely open to facilitate viewing with an internally mounted mirror. The base and in alternate embodiments the cap are hinged on one side of the device while a recessed portion on the other side facilitates opening of the force fit base and cap.
Abstract:
A cosmetic container consisting of a jar having an annular mouth portion and a sealing edge which extends along the mouth portion and is coextensive therewith, and having a screw thread extending along the mouth portion exteriorly of the sealing edge. The jar has a screw cap adapted to be threaded on the screw thread of the mouth portion, and the screw cap has sealing means which are engageable with the sealing edge of the jar for sealing the contents of the latter. The screw cap has a transparent window portion that enables the contents of the jar to be viewed from the exterior. The container is also provided with opaque means that conceals the screw thread and prevents its being viewed from the exterior of the jar.
Abstract:
A flat end beverage can lid comprises a soda can lid wherein the inner platform is connected with the rim groove. The intent is to facilitate cleaning of the groove and nearby opening hole. The pull tab is located on the inner platform so that it can be readily cleaned by finger. The inner platform extends to the can edge and can be lower than or equal to the rim groove. With this design, it is also possible to use the existing crimping head on the filling line which represents a large cost savings for the filler.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing disposable, single-use lipstick samplers by means of a dipping process. In a preferred form, a reservoir containing molten lipstick wax material is provided, and a spindle which is disposed above the reservoir is advanceable toward and retractable away from the reservoir. A plastic cup-shaped form having an apertured tip is applied to the spindle, which is thereafter advanced so as to submerge the tip of the form into the molten liquid wax material. The spindle and coated form are then removed from the reservoir, and gas pressure applied through the spindle to the aperture of the tip of the form, so as to blow off excess lipstick wax material therefrom. The form is allowed to cool so as to solidify the wax, and thereafter is fitted with a cover, removed, and suitably packaged.
Abstract:
A sampler device for mascara and like cosmetic substances, consists of an elongate tubular container having one end closed and constituting a reservoir or well for holding the cosmetic product. The container has an elongate barrel portion which constitutes a sheath that encloses an intermediate portion of an elongate applicator rod or stick which latter is receivable in the container and held therein with either a snap fit or by means of screw threads. The working end of the applicator rod has a dabber or brush which is lodged in the reservoir of the container; an adjoining portion of the rod seals with the mouth of the container reservoir when the rod is in place. The intermediate portion of the applicator rod joins to an accessible, elongate handle which protrudes from the container and which has, in addition to the snap fit or screw detent device, a sealing means in the form of a resilient ring or gasket that is operative to effect additional sealing when the applicator rod is retained in the container. The two seals minimize contamination of the various parts or soiling of the user's fingers prior to and during use of the device.
Abstract:
A football table for playing purpose includes: a bottom plate embedded in between a pair of end panels and a pair of side panels secured to the two end panels to form a football playing field generally rectangular shaped, having a plurality of packing sleeves transversely secured on a bottom surface of the bottom plate each packing sleeve engageably riding on a fastening bolt which is passed through the two side panels, and the packing sleeve for firmly fastening the two side panels with the bottom plate for quickly assembling a football table from its knockdown state.
Abstract:
A database system is disclosed for accessing databases, updating hands information associated with users. The database system can include a server. The server can retrieve and store data in the database. The server can retrieve a first request from a first computer over a network, the first request including a first set of authentication data. The server can identify the user and retrieve a first set of hands information data associated with the user from the database. The server can generate a first set of game data and transmit the game data to the first computer. It can then receive a first set of hands data from the first computer. It can compute a first game result based on the first set of hands data, the first set of game data and a first set of game rules.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a smart photovoltaic (PV) panel comprises a plurality of PV cell groups each including at least one PV cell. The smart PV panel also includes at least one serial boost combiner circuit (SBCC) configured to receive an output from the plurality of PV cell groups as inputs. Each SBCC comprises several boost blocks connected in parallel, each of the boost blocks including a switching device and a respective boost block output directly connected to an output node of the SBCC. In addition a corresponding power terminal of each of the switching devices is directly connected to a common ground node of the SBCC. In one embodiment, the smart PV panel also includes a power inverter coupled to the one or more SBCCs and a communication unit interfaced with a local controller.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a system configured to provide dynamic power management for a plurality of energy cells comprises an array of energy cells for providing a primary current path to a load, and a respective power stage for each energy cell. The power stages are configured to transfer power to and from each respective energy cell. The system further comprises a temporary energy storage node enabling energy transfer from a first plurality of energy cells comprised by the array of energy cells to a second plurality of energy cells comprised by the array of energy cells. In one embodiment, the system further comprises a feedback system for maintaining the to temporary energy storage node at a constant average power.
