摘要： A method and apparatus for encoding or decoding a motion vector (MV) of a current block of a current picture using advanced temporal motion vector prediction are disclosed. At least two collocated pictures are selected from a set of reference pictures of the current picture. One or more TMVPs are derived based on reference motion vectors (MVs) associated with collocated reference blocks of the collocated pictures. A motion vector prediction candidate set including one or more TMVPs is then determined. The current block is encoded or decoding using the motion vector prediction candidate set. The reference motion vectors (MVs) are scaled before the reference motion vectors (MVs) are used to derive the TMVPs.

摘要： A method and apparatus for adaptive de-blocking filter are disclosed. One or more parameters associated with a de-blocking filter are determined. De-blocking filter using the derived parameters are then applied to reconstructed blocks. Each set of parameters is used for each picture, slice, coding tree unit (CTU) or CU (coding unit). The parameters can be signalled in VPS (video parameter set), SPS (sequence parameter set), PPS (picture parameter set), slice header, CTU (coding tree unit) or CU (coding unit) of the video bitstream. The parameters correspond to one or more values used as thresholds, clipping boundaries, or both the thresholds and clipping boundaries for the de-blocking filter. In one embodiment, the parameters for the current picture are determined using a training process using a current coded picture a previous coded picture as training data.

In one embodiment, an MV or DV candidate list for a block coded in Merge mode is constructed, and an inter-view candidate in the MV or DV candidate list is set lower than the first candidate position if the inter-view candidate refers to an inter-view reference picture. In another embodiment, an MV or DV candidate list for a block coded in advanced motion vector prediction mode is constructed, and an inter-view candidate is set lower than the first candidate position if the inter-view candidate refers to an inter-view reference picture.

摘要： A method and apparatus of Inter/Intra prediction for a chroma component performed by a video encoder or video decoder are disclosed. According to this method, a current chroma prediction block (e.g. a prediction unit, PU) is divided into multiple chroma prediction sub-blocks (e.g. sub-PUs). A corresponding luma prediction block is identified for each chroma prediction sub-block. A chroma prediction mode for each chroma prediction sub-block is determined from a luma prediction mode associated with the corresponding luma prediction block. A local chroma predictor for the current chroma prediction block is generated by applying a prediction process to the multiple chroma prediction sub-blocks using respective chroma prediction modes. In other words, the prediction process is applied at the chroma prediction sub-block level. After the local chroma predictor is derived, a coding block associated with the current chroma prediction block is encoded or decoded using information comprising the local chroma predictor.

摘要： Apparatus and methods are described for a video encoder that uses reference motion vectors (MVs) with reduced precision to generate predicted MVs. The video encoder receives a block of pixels of a video frame and generates a MV for encoding the block of pixels by motion compensation. The video encoder creates a reduced-precision MV by reducing a precision of the generated MV based on a precision reduction scaling factor. The video encoder also stores the reduced-precision MV in a MV buffer as a reference MV for temporal or spatial MV prediction.
