Abstract: Provided herein is a laminate, comprising a polyolefin-based substrate film having a first inner surface and a first outer surface, and a polyurethane-based top coating having a second inner surface and a second outer surface, wherein the first inner surface is in contact with the second inner surface, wherein the polyurethane-based top coating is formed by mixing an isocyanate-terminated component and a hydroxyl-terminated component and coating the mixture onto the first inner surface of the polyolefin-based substrate film. Also provided are methods of preparing the laminate, articles comprising the laminate and use of the laminate in the packaging of a product.

Abstract: An isocyanate compound containing a phosphate functional group obtainable or obtained by the reaction of at least one selected from the group consisting of an isocyanate monomer, an isocyanate adduct and combinations thereof, with a phosphate functional polyol is provided.
