    摘要: A process fluid pressure transmitter includes a process fluid pressure sensor, measurement circuitry, a controller and a loop communicator. The pressure sensor is coupleable to a source of process fluid pressure. Measurement circuitry is coupled to the process fluid pressure sensor and provides a signal indicative of the electrical characteristic of the process fluid pressure sensor. The controller receives the signal from the measurement circuitry and calculates a process fluid pressure based at least in part upon the signal. The controller is also configured to detect a process fluid pressure transient and store at least one parameter related to the process fluid pressure transient. The loop communicator is coupled to the controller and is configured to provide a signal over a process communication loop based upon the process fluid pressure. The process fluid pressure transmitter is also configured to provide an indication related to the at least one stored parameter.

    摘要: A process fluid pressure transmitter includes a process fluid pressure sensor, measurement circuitry, a controller and a loop communicator. The process fluid pressure sensor has an electrical characteristic that varies with process fluid pressure. The pressure sensor is coupleable to a source of process fluid pressure. The controller is coupled to the measurement circuitry and receives the signal and calculates a process fluid pressure based at least in part upon the signal.     摘要: A magnetic flow meter has a diagnostic circuit that indicates leakage from flowtube electrodes. The diagnostic circuit couples to the electrodes and to ground. The diagnostic circuit samples diagnostic potentials between each electrode and ground, and then generates a sum of the diagnostic potentials between a first and a second electrode that indicates the leakage. The flowtube includes an insulated tube and an electromagnet. A transmitter circuit couples to the electromagnet and electrodes, and then generates a transmitter output representing a flow rate, which can be corrected for the leakage.

    摘要: A magnetic flowmeter with an improved liquid conduction indication has a flowtube assembly with a passage for liquid flow and has an electromagnet mounted outside the passage that provides ramped magnetic excitation. An electrode circuit couples through the passage and generates ramp spikes and a flow signal. A processor receiving the flow signal and generating a flow rate output. The processor also receives the ramp spikes and generates a filtered integral of the ramp spikes as a liquid conduction or empty pipe indication.

    摘要: A two-wire process variable transmitter for use in an industrial process, including a process variable sensor configured to sense a process variable of a fluid of the industrial process. Output circuitry is configured to provide an output on a two-wire process control loop which is related to the sensed process variable. Loop current measurement circuitry measures a loop current flowing through the two-wire process control loop and terminal voltage measurement circuitry measures a voltage related to a terminal voltage of the process variable transmitter. The terminal voltage can be a voltage measured across an electrical connection of the two-wire process variable transmitter to the two-wire process control loop. Input circuitry is configured to receive a diagnostic command from the two-wire process control loop. A microprocessor configured to perform loop diagnostics on the two-wire process control loop based upon the measured loop current and terminal voltage in response to receipt of a diagnostic command from the two-wire process control loop.

    摘要: A magnetic flow metering device and method is disclosed for the measurement of corrosive flow streams. The device utilizes a unibody construction wherein the flow conduit is constructed entirely from an insulative, non-conducting material without resorting to a metallic outer housing. The portions of the electrodes in contact with the flow stream are made of a suitable conductive polymer material, resistant to the corrosive media. The electrodes also feature shields that are molded into the electrode assembly to reduce background electrical noise. The invention also utilizes an electrical configuration that actively drives the electrode shield circuit (electrodes as well as cabling) to provide a more accurate measurement of the electromotive force.
