Abstract: Devices and methods for handles of delivery apparatuses for prosthetic medical devices are disclosed. As one example, a handle for a delivery apparatus can include a housing having an outer wall and at least one window coupled to the outer wall of the housing. The at least one window can define at least one viewing region through the outer wall. The handle can further include at least one indicator positioned within the housing adjacent to the window. The at least one indicator can include a background member and a slider, wherein the slider is configured to slide relative to the background member.

Abstract: A delivery apparatus includes a dock sleeve having a body portion and a tip portion located at a distal end of the body portion and configured to be axially movable relative to a docking device. The body portion includes a lumen configured to receive the docking device therein. The tip portion one or more flaps that are movable between a radially collapsed state and a radially expanded state. In the radially collapsed state, the one or more flaps cover a distal end of the docking device and confine the docking device within the lumen of the body portion. In the radially expanded state, the one or more flaps allow the distal end of the docking device to extend distally from the lumen of the body portion and beyond the tip portion such that the distal end of the docking device is uncovered by the dock sleeve.

Abstract: A prosthesis can be configured to grasp intralumenal tissue when deployed within a body cavity and prevent axial flow of fluid around an exterior of the prosthesis. The prosthesis can include an expandable frame configured to radially expand and contract for deployment within the body cavity and a valve body. The expandable frame can include a frame body and a supplemental frame. The valve body can include a plurality of leaflets and one or more intermediate components. The one or more intermediate components can couple at least a portion of the leaflets to the expandable frame. The prosthesis can include an annular flap positioned around an exterior of the expandable frame.

Abstract: A heart valve prosthesis for replacing a native mitral valve includes a self-expanding frame with a plurality of anchoring members disposed along the lower region. A valve body is positioned within the self-expanding frame and includes a plurality of leaflets configured to allow blood flow through the self-expanding frame in only one direction. A skirt surrounds the self-expanding frame and is spaced apart therefrom for contacting surrounding tissue and impeding blood flow around the self-expanding frame. The skirt may be reinforced with wires to help maintain a desired shape. The leaflets in the valve body are preferably connected to the self-expanding frame through one or more intermediate components such that the valve body is spaced radially inwardly from an inner surface of the self-expanding frame.
