Provided is an apparatus and method for security control that is capable of preventing a security threat from spreading on the basis of a security control policy established for each device (or a device group) in a network infrastructure environment, such as IoT. In a network infrastructure including a service server, a gateway, and a device, the apparatus and method for security control, in response to detecting a security threat, such as distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, malicious code propagation, or the like, perform a security control and a security control release on a device in which the security threat has occurred and/or a device group having an identical or similar property to the device to prevent the security threat from spreading and block the security threat in an early stage.

A communication connecting method between nodes through a network, includes: storing communication connection information acquired through searching for communication entities of other nodes; determining whether communication connection information on a communication entity of a connection target node exists by searching for the stored communication connection information; and configuring communication connection with the communication entity of the connection target node based on the determination result.

Provided herein is a method and apparatus for generating a virtual object for DDS (Data Distribution Service) communication in multiple network domains, the apparatus including: a communicator for receiving EDP (Endpoint Discovery Protocol) information on a remote Endpoint from a remote network domain separated physically or logically; and a virtual object generator for matching the EDP information on the remote Endpoint and information included in the remote network domain prestored in a database, and for generating a virtual object corresponding to the remote Endpoint.

An apparatus for monitoring a data distribution service (DDS), and a method thereof are disclosed. A DDS monitoring apparatus monitoring a data distribution service (DDS) includes: a monitoring participant configured to receive a monitoring topic from a DDS node, wherein the monitoring topic is status information of the DDS node; a monitoring data collector configured to collect the monitoring topic, and to determine whether or not the monitoring topic is urgent; and a monitoring data analyzer configured to analyze the monitoring topic according to whether or not the monitoring topic is urgent to determine whether to create DDS status information corresponding to the status of the DDS node. Accordingly, it is possible to monitor a DDS in real time.
