The system also includes a lens assembly optically coupled to the display and including a plurality of optical lenses. The system also includes a controller configured to selectively activate one or more of the plurality of optical lenses, determine a lens center shift between a center of the selectively activated one or more of the plurality of optical lenses and a center of the lens assembly, and determine an image shift based on the lens center shift for shifting the virtual image output from the display.

摘要: Techniques disclosed herein relate to a near-eye display system. One example of an eye-tracking system includes a substrate transparent to visible light and infrared light and a reflective holographic grating conformally coupled to a surface of the substrate. The reflective holographic grating is configured to transmit the visible light and reflectively diffract infrared light in a first wavelength range for eye tracking. The refractive index modulation of the reflective holographic grating is apodized in a direction along a thickness of the reflective holographic grating to reduce optical artifacts in the visible light.

At least a portion of the respective top surfaces face each other and are spaced apart from each other to accommodate at least some of the first set of source elements, at least some of the second set of source elements, and at least some of the bond wires. The display device that includes a light source configured to output image light, an optical assembly configured to collimate the image light, a scanning assembly configured to steer the image light, and an output device configured to output the image light for displaying images is also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed herein are systems and methods of reducing distortion in an image displayed on a near-eye display. Described herein is a display system including a light assembly configured to generate source light for a display image, a distortion correcting optics assembly, and a mirror scanning system configured to receive pre-distorted and collimated light and reflect and scan the pre-distorted and collimated light to provide an image on an image plane. The distortion correcting optics assembly delivers pre-distorted and collimated light to the mirror scanning system, the mirror scanning system is configured to undistort the pre-distorted light and transmit an undistorted image to a display.

A boundary between chips in the array can be configured to extend diagonally across rows and columns of the array such that, for each column across which the boundary extends, the first row of the plurality rows may not have a light source disposed in the respective column, but a second row of the plurality of rows has a light source disposed in the respective column.
