A method for operating an internal combustion engine is proposed, in whose exhaust gas zone a particle filter is disposed, which is cyclically loaded with particles and thermally regenerated, as well as an apparatus for the implementation of the method, which prevents thermal overload of the particle filter after turning off the internal combustion engine. A test is made when the internal combustion engine is turned off to determine whether an exothermal reaction takes place. Provided that an exothermal reaction takes place in the particle filter, a butterfly valve is closed, which prevents exhaust gas flow through the particle filter and, if the circumstances arise, a resulting oxygenation ingress in the particle filter.

The invention concerns a procedure and a device for controlling an air supply system of a combustion engine with an exhaust gas system and an exhaust gas purification system with a particle filter in the exhaust gas system, whereby a boost pressure of an air supply current is controlled or can be controlled in the air supply system over a combustion air supply duct with the aid if a throttle valve and/or an exhaust gas recirculation between the exhaust gas system and the combustion air supply duct. Regarding the procedure it is provided according to the invention, that the air supply current is determined directly before or during a regeneration of the particle filter by different means with the aid of signals from measuring devices that are arranged in the air supply system and/or sensors that are arranged in the exhaust gas system and that the results are compared to each other. With the procedure and the device defects as leakages in the air supply system of the combustion engine can be diagnosed and thus the regeneration of the particle filter interrupted if necessary before it can be damaged by uncontrolled air infiltrations.

Features of some embodiments provide for a RFID labeling system that uses multiple RFID components attached to a single product unit being embedded in the product's label and one or more tamper labels. Such RFID labels usually comprise an adhesive label containing an RFID component, a destructible conducting path that acts as an antenna and a unique encryption. The RFID labels transmit the encryption when irradiated by an RF scanner. A complete inventory of multiple associated encryptions reported during an RFID scan of a product package provide positive indication that product has not been tampered with. A missing encryption indicates a faulty product seal or an event of tampering.
