摘要： A casket assembly includes a container and a two-piece lid. The two-piece lid includes a superior lid that covers the anterior end of the casket and an inferior lid that covers the opposite end. The container includes a bottom panel, an inferior end panel, a superior end panel, and two elongated side panels. Each elongated side portion has a recessed portion on the superior end of the casket for providing an improved viewing of the deceased. In one embodiment, the casket panels each include a plurality of mortise holes and/or tenons. The tenons on individual panels are designed to fit into the mortise holes on other panels. Pins are placed through pinholes on the tenons to retain the tenons in the mortise holes. A shelf and bracket assembly may be provided for use in displaying mementos of the deceased and/or for supporting the inferior casket lid.

摘要： A retractable handle arrangement for a casket includes an elongate handle member, a rigid rod, and a stopper member. The elongate handle member has a length extending parallel to a side panel of the casket, and has a through-hole extending transverse to the length. The rigid rod extends through the through-hole of the handle member. The rigid rod has a first end and a second end, the first end having a head. The head has a diameter exceeding a diameter of at least a part of the through-hole. The rigid rod extends through a side panel opening such that the second end is disposed within an interior of the casket. The stopper member is fixedly supported on the rigid rod within the interior of the casket. The stopper member has a diameter that exceeds a diameter of at least a portion of the side panel opening.

摘要： A tray assembly may be used in a rental casket system that includes a casket with a recessed side panel for ease of viewing. The casket includes a removable end piece which is one embodiment is located within grooves formed in the side panels of the casket. The grooves widen near the upper portion of the side panels and are partially covered by a top panel. The tray assembly that may be used as part of a cremation casket. The tray has short side walls and an inner assembly that prevents contact with a deceased when handholds in the tray assembly are used to move the tray assembly. The tray assembly includes side walls that are movably attached to end walls. Lids are provided with the tray so that the tray may also be used as an identification tray.

摘要： A method of molding a flange uses a first tool element and a second opposing tool element. The first tool element defines a negative of at least a portion of a first side of a flange, and the second tool element defines a negative of at least a portion of the second side of the flange. The method includes providing a set of blocks for insertion into a plurality of recesses in the second tool element, the set of blocks insertable in a plurality of configurations, each configuration defining a negative of a set of retention features on the second side of the flange. The plurality of configurations define differing configurations of retention features on the second side. The method also includes inserting at least some blocks into the second tool element to form a selected one of the plurality of configurations, and performing injection molding using the first tool element and the second tool element.

The side panels are formed intrinsically with the bottom panel. Each side panel includes a lower section and an upper section foldably attached thereto. The lower section extends vertically upward from the bottom panel. In a first configuration, the upper section extends upward from the lower section. In a second configuration, the upper section extends in a direction other than vertically upward from the lower section. The mechanically strengthening insert is disposed at least in part adjacent the lower section of at least one side panel. The end panels are formed intrinsically with the bottom panel.

The reel support member is configured to rotatably support at least a part of a reel. The braking mechanism includes a brake lever connected to the reel support member at a pivot point, and a braking member connected to the brake lever. The pivot point is offset from an axis of rotation of a reel supported by the reel support member. The braking member is configured to be positionable against the reel supported by the reel support member with an adjustable braking force.
