摘要： The invention provides a two-piece golf ball having a single-layer core, a single-layer cover and a surface on which a plurality of dimples are formed. The cover is made of a material which includes 100 parts by weight of a resin material, from 0 to 0.5 part by weight of titanium oxide, and from 0.1 to 2 parts by weight of a fluorescent pigment selected from the group consisting of yellow, orange, peach and red. The ball surface has a lightness L value, expressed in the Lab color system, of at least 50. The core surface has an L value of at least 82 and a chroma C, defined as (a2+b2)1/2, of 10 or less. The golf ball exhibits a brightly colored surface, is highly fashionable, and is readily visible during play.

摘要： A multi-piece solid golf ball includes an elastic solid core, a resinous intermediate layer and a resinous cover. When subjected to a load of 1274 N (130 kgf) from an initial load of 98 N (10 kgf), the solid core undergoes a deformation A, a sphere consisting of the solid core and the intermediate layer undergoes a deformation B, and the golf ball undergoes a deformation C, all expressed in millimeter, which satisfy the relationship: 1.14≦A/B≦1.30 and 1.05≦B/C≦1.16. This combination of features provides the ball with qualities desired by professional golfers and skilled amateurs, including spin and flight performances.

摘要： A multi-piece solid golf ball having a core, an envelope layer formed of an inner envelope layer, an intermediate envelope layer and an outer envelope layer, an intermediate layer, and a cover having a plurality of dimples on a surface thereof, arranged in that order. The three envelope layers, intermediate layer and cover are each formed primarily of a resin material of the same or different types. The core is formed primarily of a rubber material, and has a material hardness same as or lower than the core center hardness. One of the inner layers has a material hardness higher than the cover material hardness and/or the average core hardness. The golf ball has excellent flight performance, excellent controllability in the short game, a good feel on impact and excellent scuff resistance.

Letting the average hardness of the core be expressed by the formula: average core hardness (Shore D)=[core surface hardness (Shore D)+core center hardness (Shore D)]/2, the outer layer has a hardness (Shore D) which is higher than the average core hardness and each of the envelope layers and the intermediate layers is softer than the outer layer. The multi-piece solid golf ball provides a good, soft feel on impact and excellent flight for golfers not having a very high head speed.

The golf ball lowers the spin rate on full shots with a driver, increases the distance traveled by the ball, has good controllability, maintains a straight path particularly on full shots, has a good feel on impact and excellent scuff resistance.
