    摘要： A display apparatus includes: a) a matrix electrode structure comprising a set of plural scanning electrodes and a set of plural data electrodes intersecting with the scanning electrodes; b) a scanning electrode driver for serially applying a scanning selection signal to the scanning electrodes and a data electrode driver for applying data signals in parallel; c) an address generator for serially generating an address signal for addressing a scanning electrode to which the scanning selection signal is to be applied and image signals for directing data signals to be sent to the data electrodes to the respective data electrodes; and d) a circuit for generating a signal for directing a changeover between a transfer of the address signal to the scanning electrode driver and a transfer of the image signals to the data electrode driver. The display apparatus is particularly adapted for partial rewriting.

    摘要： A display apparatus includes (a) a display panel having a display picture area formed by scanning electrodes and data electrodes arranged in a matrix; (b) a driver including a first driver for driving the scanning electrodes and a second driver for driving the data electrodes; and (c) a controller for controlling the driver so as to repeat a partial rewriting scanning operation by applying a scanning selection signal to only a part of the scanning electrodes forming the display picture area. In addition, the apparatus operates in an interlace mode when normal field scanning is performed and in a non-interlace mode when partial scanning is being performed to change the position of the cursor. In addition, the apparatus includes a flag memory for setting one bit of data for each electrode.

    摘要： In a method of driving a liquid crystal panel using one horizontal period (1H) as a reversal period, the liquid crystal panel using a TFT as a switching element for driving the panel in units of divided blocks and comprising the block division TFT's (B-TFT), a matrix circuit for driving each block in time division, and a TFT active matrix panel; each block of the B-TFT's is further divided into two half-blocks and a control signal shifted in phase between adjacent two half-blocks is applied to time-divisionally drive the liquid crystal panel at superposed timings. High intensity lines produced at the intersection of blocks due to the charge sharing effect are eliminated to thereby enable a high quality image to be produced.

    摘要： A liquid crystal display panel comprising: a liquid crystal display section; an array section of switching elements connected to first information signal lines of the liquid crystal display section, respectively; a driving circuit section which divides the switching element array section into a plurality of blocks and time-sharingly drives these blocks on a block unit basis; second information signal lines of wirings as many as the number of switching elements of one block among those blocks being connected to the driving circuit section; an information signal output circuit for applying an information signal to the second information signal lines; and an arithmetic operating circuit for correcting the information signal which is applied to the second information signal line in the previous block near the next block between the previous block which is previously driven and the next block which is driven next when the panel is time-sharingly driven for every block to an information signal to eliminate a high luminance which is produced in the first information signal line connected to this second information signal line.
