More particularly, a threshold matrix is rearranged in array according to a predetermined reference, the threshold matrix being used to convert input image data into dot data, so as to output the same logical values continuously from the top and/or from the end of dot data array, and simultaneously dot data are grouped in the unit of a predetermined bits so as to count the number of units having the same and continuous logical values from the top and/or from the end to thereby effectively compress data of dot images by a perfect reproduction system or a non-perfect reproduction system.

    摘要: Tone correction for input video signals is performed on the basis of look-up table data. The state of color tone is decided by using chroma signals each corresponding to one of input video signals, and a luminance signal produced from the input video signals. In response to the particular state decided, signals are produced by applying color correction level adjustment to the input video signals. A highlight point and a shadow point are set up based on one of such adjusted signals so as to produce look-up table data for each of the input video signals. This allows input video data to be subjected to tone correction which corresponds to particular photographing conditions, thereby eliminating overcorrection or undercorrection. Hence, the operator's decision as to the state of color tone is needless so that the ease of operation is promoted.

    摘要: A method and process for processing picture image signals detects color separation signals of a color original image and then respectively converts these color separation signals into digital color separation signals. These digital color separation signals are then multiplied by predetermined coefficients and the results of these multiplications are sequentially accumulated for equalizing the levels of the digital color separation signals at a grey point of the original image so as to thereby obtain digital color separation signals which are converted to equivalent neutral densities. Hue signals of yellow, green, cyan, blue, magenta, and red which divide a color space into six hues are obtained from the digital color separation signals which are converted to the equivalent neutral densities. The hue signals are multiplied by predetermined color correction coefficients and the results thereof accumulated for color correction signals on yellow, magenta, and cyan. The digital color separation signals which are converted to the equivalent neutral densities are added to the color correction signals so as to thereby obtain selective color correction signals for recording the original image.

    摘要: A color image signal processing method for a color image input/output system reads an original by an image input section and corrects the color and gradation of the thus obtained image signals and feeds output density signals for each color to an image output device. The processing method includes the steps of calculating differences between desired finished densities and the output density signals at specified points on the original which are obtained by converting input density signals on the specified points based upon reference gradation conversion curves and then prepares characteristic curves of the differences with respect to the output density signals using the same functions for the respective colors and then prepares corrected gradation conversion curves by adding the reference gradation conversion curves to the functions. The functions are then determined so that the corrected gradation conversion curves are within a specified inclination range so as to thereby correct a gradation conversion table as well as correcting a color correction table by limiting the values of color correction coefficients so as to remove color distortion of output images.

    摘要: An image processing apparatus comprising positive and negative original input signal processing sections respectively converting positive and negative signals obtained by photoelectric scanning of positive and negative originals into positive density signals, and a color processing section for color-processing the positive density signals. The circuits used in the positive original input signal processing section are preferably all included as well in the negative original input signal processing section, so that common circuits may be employed for the two processing sections. This is similarly the case with the positive and negative image output sections. The apparatus also has a positive image output section for converting the output signal of the color processing section into a light amount control signal for a light source for reproducing a positive image, and a negative image output section for converting the output signal of the color processing section into a negative density signal and then into a light amount control signal for forming an intermediate negative so that a desired density is obtained on an ultimate printing photosensitive material when the intermediate negative is printed thereon. During processing in the negative original input signal processing section, a negative original density signal is converted into a density signal representing a corresponding positive image such that the weight of ratio of the Y, M and C color signals is always 1:1:1 for a gray original.

Then, the process density signals are inputted to an image output device such that the conditions of the original in the form of optional parameters are selected from a set of options and characteristic point parameters which are selected by designating characteristic points on the original to be processed are selected as auxiliary input parameters. Prescanned data from the image input device is processed together with the auxiliary input parameters so as to thereby determine the processing conditions for respective color output density signals.
