Abstract: A backlight detection method and device, and the method includes acquiring a brightness value of each image block in a to-be-checked image, determining a brightness relationship between the adjacent image blocks according to the brightness value of each image block; and determining a dark region and a bright region in the to-be-checked image according to the brightness relationship between the adjacent image blocks, and determining whether the to-be-checked image is a backlight scenario according to the dark region and the bright region. The backlight detection method and device provided by the embodiments of the present invention can improve accuracy of backlight detection.
