Abstract: A method for implementing an augmented reality application includes collecting an image and label information of the image, where the image has been uploaded by a user and releasing the image and the label information of the image to a social networking contact of the user in accordance with a social graph of the user and an interest graph. The method also includes obtaining comment information from the social networking contact about the image and extracting, from the comment information, a keyword, where an occurrence frequency of the keyword is higher than a first threshold. Additionally, the method includes adding the image to an image album in accordance with the label information of the image and the keyword and generating an augmented reality pattern and augmented reality content about a describing object of the image in accordance with image features of images in the image album and the keyword.
