Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a method includes sending a first message to a network device includes capability information of a terminal device that indicates antenna ports supported by P frequency domain units of the terminal device, and an antenna port supported by an ith frequency domain unit in the P frequency domain units includes an antenna port associated with the ith frequency domain unit and an antenna port that can be switched to the ith frequency domain unit in antenna ports associated with Ni frequency domain units in the P frequency domain units; and receiving configuration information from the network device, where the configuration information configures at least two sounding reference signal (SRS) resources for a first frequency domain unit of the terminal device, and the first frequency domain unit is associated with first uplink transmission configuration information.
