Abstract: A gaming system may determine a player status of a player using the gaming device and, based on the determined player status of the player, may provide video of a live sporting event to a display device of the gaming device. The gaming system may select a set of wagers that are associated with defined events in the live sporting event and provide an indication of the set of wagers to the display device. The system may include a wager or other requirement for continuing providing the video. The system may determine whether the player has selected a wager from among the set of wagers which satisfies the wager requirement, and may suspend, continue, or resume providing the video of the live sporting event to the gaming device based on the determination.

Abstract: In response to receiving a wager, a plurality of game elements are displayed as part of the wagering game. The plurality of game elements includes a play area, an enemy element that travels along an enemy path from an enemy entry location toward an enemy goal location, and a defense element that attacks the enemy element when the enemy element is within a defense attack range of the defense element. An enemy health value of the enemy element is reduced based on the defense element attacking the enemy element when the enemy element is within the defense attack range of the defense element. Reducing the enemy health value of the enemy element to zero destroys the enemy element. In response to the enemy element being destroyed, a second monetary amount is credited to the first credit account.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, managing a player pool can comprise receiving a request to initiate a player pool and generating a record defining the player pool and defining a rule for the player pool. The rule can define handling of results of gaming activity in which members of the player pool participate and handling of a player pool amount at an occurrence of a predetermined event. Requests can be received from participants to participate in the player pool and the record defining the player pool can be updated to indicate addition of the participants. An indication of a contribution amount made by each participant can also be received and the record can be updated to increment the player pool amount based on the contributions. Gaming activity of the participants can be monitored and the player pool amount can be updated based on the monitor and the rule for the player pool.
