Abstract: Disclosed is a display device having a first layer and a second layer over the second layer. The first layer possesses a display region including: a plurality of first sub-pixels; a plurality of second sub-pixels; a plurality of third sub-pixels; a partition wall sandwiched by two adjacent sub-pixels; and a sealing film thereover. The second layer includes: a first touch electrode overlapping with the partition wall and arranged along the partition wall; and a second touch electrode overlapping with the partition wall, arranged along the partition wall, and intersecting the first touch electrode. The first touch electrode and the second touch electrode exist in the same layer. The first touch electrode and the second touch electrode each have a plurality of openings. Among the number of the first sub-pixels, the number of the second sub-pixels, and the number of the third sub-pixels, one is different from the other two.

Abstract: A sealing member containing conductive particles and disposed in a seal region is formed between a display panel and a touch panel. A laminated structure formed on the display panel includes a first detection lines. The first detection lines extend from the seal region to a connection region and are connected through the conductive particles to terminals of second detection lines formed on the touch panel. A peripheral edge of the organic barrier is located inward from the conductive particles of the sealing member. The above described structure can facilitate a work for connecting external lines such as FPC to the display panel and the touch panel. Further, the structure can secure stability of electrical connection between the external lines and the touch panel.

Abstract: The first and second touch electrodes constitute a mesh shape of staying away from overlap with the light-emitting pixels. Each electrode body has a first slim portion between adjacent light-emitting pixels in the first direction. Each electrode body has a first wide portion between adjacent light-emitting pixels in the second direction. The first wide portion is wider than the first slim portion. The jumper electrode has a second slim portion between adjacent light-emitting pixels in the first direction. The jumper electrode has a second wide portion between adjacent light-emitting pixels in the second direction. The second wide portion is wider than the second slim portion. The light-emitting pixels each have a planar shape longer in the second direction than in the first direction. The first and second wide portions are overlapped and electrically conductive, penetrating the insulation film.

Abstract: The method for manufacturing a display device includes forming a light emitting element and a terminal on a substrate, forming a sealing film including a first inorganic insulating film and a second inorganic insulating film to cover the light emitting element and the terminal, forming a resist having a taper shape in which a thickness of an end portion on the sealing film becomes thinner as it goes to the terminal side by using a gray-tone mask, forming a taper shape in which thicknesses in end portions of the first inorganic insulating film and the second inorganic insulating film becomes thinner as it goes to the terminal side by etching, forming a touch electrode above the sealing film and forming wiring connected to the terminal via the end portions together with connecting to the touch electrode for detecting a touched position.

Abstract: First electrodes are formed on an insulation surface in such a manner that the adjacent first electrodes are connected in a first direction and are separated in a second direction intersecting the first direction.
