Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a substrate, an organic insulating layer provided over a display area and a surrounding area above the substrate, a lower electrode provided on the organic insulating layer in the display area, an organic layer provided on the lower electrode and including a light emitting layer, an upper electrode provided on the organic layer, and a first partition provided in the surrounding area and including a first lower portion and a first upper portion which is provided on the first lower portion and protrudes from a side surface of the first lower portion. The organic insulating layer includes a removed portion along an outer edge of the substrate in the surrounding area. The first partition is provided in the removed portion.
