Abstract: A method in a Building Management System (BMS) includes presenting a user interface to a user on a user device that allows the user to efficiently view logical relationships between objects in the BMS. The method includes presenting, on the user interface, a first object and a second object. The second object is affected by the first object. The first object is presented on a first side of the second object on the user interface. The method also includes receiving, via the user interface, an input from the user including a selection of the second object, and presenting, on the user interface, a third object used to control equipment of the BMS in response to the input from the user. The third object is affected by the second object and presented on a second side of the second object opposite the first side.

Abstract: A method for automatically detecting and mitigating risks related to cybersecurity in a Building Management System (BMS) includes evaluating settings of a user account of the BMS; identifying a security risk associated with the settings of the user account; evaluating settings of a network device of the BMS; identifying another security risk associated with the settings of the network device, presenting a user interface, wherein the user interface allows a user to view a policy recommendation associated with either security risk; and implementing the change in the settings of the user account or a change in the settings of the network device based at least in part on an input from the user via the user interface or an automated response to the policy recommendation. The method allows for administrators to easily view and change settings of user accounts and network devices to improve the cybersecurity of the BMS.

Abstract: A performance assessment device for evaluating a building management system (BMS). The device includes a communication interface. The communication interface is configured to communicate with a BMS network, the BMS network in communication with the BMS. The device further includes a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to receive data related to the BMS via the communication interface. The processing circuit is further configured to evaluate the data related to the BMS to generate a current assessment of the attributes of the BMS, and to compare the current assessment of the attributes of the BMS to a previously determined assessment of the attributes of the BMS.

The processing circuit is further configured to evaluate the received BMS data to generate a current status of the BMS inventory, and to further generate an assessment of the BMS performance. The assessment of the BMS performance includes one or more performance metrics associated with the performance of the BMS.
