    摘要: This invention relates to a sintering furnace for the production of a quartz preform which can be used for carrying out dehydration, fluorine-addition and/or sintering of a porous quartz soot preform prepared by a flame hydrolysis method such as a VAD method or a OVD method, and in particular, to such a furnace in which joints in a long furnace muffle so long that fabricating it as open body is impossible can be maintained fully gas-tight, so that it is possible to prevent H.sub.2 O, O.sub.2 and other impurities in the air from entering the muffle from outside, and corrosive and poisonous gases in the muffle are prevented from leakage to outside the muffle. The rubbing surface and the receiving surface are spherical surfaces centered on a tilting center of the shaft portion.

    摘要: A force-feedback multidirectional input device includes a slider slidably supported by a support base and an operation knob joined to the slider. In a sliding operation, the slider operates in conjunction with actuating members included in a force-feedback unit. Therefore, a sense of force based on the sliding is fed back to the operation knob. Furthermore, the slider is elastically urged by coil springs toward an inner bottom surface of a housing space defined in the support base. In a depressing operation, the operation knob presses the support base downward against the urging force of coil springs. Therefore, a vertically movable member joined to the support base is moved downward along guide portions (convex rails and concave grooves). Thus, a push switch provided on a pedestal (circuit board) is pressed and activated by the vertically movable member.

    摘要: A haptic feedback input device includes a pair of driving levers journaled at a frame such that rotary shafts thereof are perpendicular to each other, an operating lever coupled to an intersection of the two driving levers such that it can rock, and a pair of rotary motors that apply feedback force to the operating lever via the two driving levers. In the haptic feedback input device, a pair of rotary encoders detect the relative dislocation amount of the operating level, and an absolute position detecting unit is composed of swing arms fixed to the two driving levers and photo interrupters that detect the existence of blocking portions formed at the swing arms and that output ON/OFF signals. A control unit calculates a reference position of the operating lever based on ON/OFF switching signals of the photo interrupters.
