摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball which travels a great distance on the driver shots and stops quickly on the green on the approach shots. The present invention is directed to a golf ball material having a shear loss modulus G″ of 2.11×107 Pa or less, and a ratio (E″/G″) of a tensile loss modulus E″ to the shear loss modulus G″ of 1.78 or more, when measuring the shear loss modulus G″ in a shear mode and the tensile loss modulus E″ in a tensile mode at conditions of a temperature of 0° C., oscillation frequency of 10 Hz using a dynamic viscoelasticity measuring apparatus.

The present invention provides a golf ball cover material having shear loss moduli G1″ (Pa), G2″ (Pa), and G3″ (Pa) that satisfy following equations when measured using a dynamic viscoelasticity measuring apparatus at following conditions. log G1″≦7.09 (1) log G2″≧7.17 (2) log G3″≦7.14 (3) G1″ measuring conditions: shear mode, oscillation frequency: 10 Hz, temperature: 0° C., strain: 0.05%; G2″ measuring conditions: shear mode, oscillation frequency: 10 Hz, temperature: −30° C., strain: 0.05%; and G3″ measuring conditions: shear mode, oscillation frequency: 10 Hz, temperature: 0° C., strain: 5%.

摘要: A golf ball 2 includes a center 12, a mid layer 14, a reinforcing layer 6, a cover 8 and a paint layer 10. The golf ball 2 has a large number of dimples 16 on the surface thereof. The cover 8 is formed of a resin composition including thermoplastic polyurethane (A) and a polyisocyanate mixture (B). The polyisocyanate mixture (B) includes a urethane prepolymer (B1) having two or more isocyanate groups or an isocyanate compound (B2) having three or more isocyanate groups. The polyisocyanate composition (B) further includes a thermoplastic resin (B3) which substantially does not react with an isocyanate goup. The golf ball 2 is obtained by a mold having protrusions which projects from the equator of the mold. Each protrusion includes a part of a pimple.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a novel golf ball that controls the spin rate on the approach shots while suppressing the change in the spin rate on the driver shots and a method for producing the same. The present invention provides a golf ball having a cover containing a resin component and a filler, wherein the filler is oriented roughly parallel to a surface of the cover. The cover having anisotropy behaves like a hard material against the deformation in the compression direction on the driver shots and behaves like a soft material against the deformation in the shear direction on the approach shots. The present invention also provides a method for producing a golf ball, comprising compression molding a cover composition containing a resin component and a filler to mold a shell, and compression molding a core covered with a plurality of shells to mold a cover.

The cover 10 has a Shore D hardness Hc of no greater than 35. The Shore D hardness Hm of the mid layer 8 is greater than the Shore D hardness Hc of the cover 10. The base material of the surrounding layer 6 is an ionomer resin. The base material of the mid layer 8 is a polyurethane. The base material of the cover 10 is a polyurethane.

摘要: A golf ball 2 has a hollow center 8, a mid layer 10, an inner cover 12 and an outer cover 14. The center 8 is formed by crosslinking a rubber composition. The rubber composition contains a natural rubber as a base polymer. The rubber composition contains sulfur. The mid layer 10 is formed by crosslinking a rubber composition. This rubber composition includes butadiene as a principal component of the base polymer. The center 8 has an inside diameter of 2 mm or greater and 13 mm or less. The center 8 has an outside diameter of 5 mm or greater and 15 mm or less. The center 8 has a surface JIS-C hardness H2 of 25 or greater and 55 or less. A difference (H4−H3) between a surface JIS-C hardness H4 of the mid layer 10 and a JIS-C hardness H3 of an innermost part of the mid layer is equal to or greater than 10.
