Abstract:
A mascara composition includes a vehicle comprising water; an anionic acrylic polymer; an anionic, water-dispersible polyester; and an aliphatic tackifier having a weight average molecular weight less than about 10,000 daltons. Methods of making up the eyelashes are also provided.
Abstract:
A mascara composition includes a film-forming polymer portion. The film-forming polymer portion is stabilized in a vehicle that includes water. The film-forming polymer portion includes a high molecular weight vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer and one or more secondary film-forming polymers each having one or more repeat units. The one or more repeat units of the one or more secondary film-forming polymers include imide and/or acid-anhydride functionality. The mascara composition includes at least about 10 percent by weight of the vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer and is substantially free of wax.
Abstract:
A mascara composition including an olefin/acrylate grafted polymer and a styrene/acrylates copolymer. Preferably, the ratio of the weight amount of the olefin/acrylate grafted polymer to the weight amount of the styrene/acrylates copolymer is from about 1:3 to about 4:1.
Abstract:
Compositions including at least one silicone acrylate copolymer and at least one glycerolated silicone resin, as well as methods of applying such compositions to keratinous material, are provided.
Abstract:
A makeup removal system includes a vibrating device and an absorbent article attached to the vibrating device and configured to be vibrated by the vibrating device, the absorbent article having absorbed thereon a makeup removal composition comprising a vegetable derived oil and is essentially free of water.
Abstract:
The invention relates to eyelash coating compositions including water, at least one film-forming agent, at least 8% structuring agent, and at least one surfactant, which can be applied to eyelashes (natural or artificial), and which can be used to attach false (artificial) eyelashes to natural eyelashes, as well as to associated methods.
Abstract:
A mascara composition includes at least about 7 percent by weight of a non-ionic water-soluble or water dispersible copolymer that includes a cyclic amide monomer, a cyclic amine monomer, and an acrylamide monomer. Methods of applying makeup to the eyelashes are also provided.
Abstract:
A mascara composition including at least one olefin/acrylate grafted polymer and at least one acrylates copolymer. The ratio of the weight amount of the olefin/acrylate grafted polymer to the weight amount of the acrylates copolymer in the mascara composition is preferably from about 0.85 to about 4.5.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a latex film forming polymer, an acid, water and optionally a pigment, said composition having a pH of from about 6.5 to about 8. The invention also relates to a method for making up and/or enhancing the appearance of a keratinous substrate, in particular lashes, by applying these compositions to the keratinous substrate.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a latex film forming polymer, a hyperbranched functional polymer, an organic solvent and water. The compositions of the present invention may optionally contain at least one colorant. The invention also relates to a method for making up and/or enhancing the appearance of a keratinous substrate, in particular lashes, by applying these compositions to the keratinous substrate.
