Abstract: A mascara composition including a film-forming polymer portion and a particulate portion is provided. The film-forming polymer portion comprises a high molecular weight vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer and the particulate portion comprises an inorganic particulate. The mascara composition comprises at least about ten percent by weight of the vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer and is substantially free of wax. Methods of applying makeup to the eyelashes are also provided.
