Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are related to a backlight unit and a display device, and the backlight unit in which an optical plate including an engraved pattern in which a color conversion material is disposed is positioned on a light source can be provided. As the color conversion material is disposed in the engraved pattern, a change of the color conversion material by an external factor can be prevented and an amount of the color conversion material can be reduced, thus the backlight unit providing an image quality greater or equal to a certain level and with improved reliability can be implemented easily.

Abstract: Provided are a light guide film, a backlight unit, and a display device. Light guide portions are disposed in holes of a reflection plate on which light sources are disposed, and a light guide film is directly disposed on the reflection plate and the light guide portions to provide a light guiding function and a light shielding function. Therefore, a method of facilitating implementation of a backlight unit with a small thickness, which satisfies image quality is provided. Further, each of the light shielding patterns has different reflectances in different areas, thereby increasing the amount of light supplied to an area between light sources. Therefore, a backlight unit with a reduced number of light sources and improved image quality may be provided.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relates to a light path control element, a backlight unit and a display device, and by disposing, over one or more light sources, a light path control element including a first engraved patterns located on a surface through which light exits and located to correspond to respective light sources, and a second engraved patterns located on a surface into which light is incident and located in an areas between light sources, it is possible to improve functions of guiding and diffusing light emitted from the light sources. Accordingly, by increasing a distance between light sources and enabling a hot spot to be prevented and luminance uniformity to improve, it is possible to reduce the number of light sources and provide a backlight unit producing improved image quality.
