Abstract: Disclosed is an electroluminescent display apparatus. The organic cover layer includes hexaazatriphenylene hexacarbonitrile. The organic cover layer including hexaazatriphenylene hexacarbonitrile is provided on the electrode, and, thus, in a process of forming the organic cover layer, the occurrence of foreign materials is reduced, and cracks are prevented from occurring in the organic cover layer when the foreign materials are pressed.

The electroluminescent display device includes a first bank on a substrate, an anode electrode extending to one side and another side of the first bank in an area exposed by the first bank, a second bank on each of one side and another side of the anode electrode, a light emitting layer on an upper surface of the anode electrode exposed by the second bank, and a cathode electrode on the light emitting layer. Since the anode electrode is provided on the first bank, the anode electrode is prevented from being damaged in a process of patterning the first bank.
