    Abstract: An air conditioner may include a controller; a compressor; an outdoor heat exchanger; a plurality of indoor heat exchangers; a switching valve that selectively guides a refrigerant discharged from the compressor to the outdoor heat exchanger or the plurality of indoor heat exchangers; high pressure pipes that connect the switching valve and the plurality of indoor heat exchangers; high pressure valves installed in the high pressure pipes; low pressure pipes that connect an inlet of the compressor and the high pressure pipes. low pressure valves installed in the low pressure pipes; indoor pipes, which are opposite to the high pressure pipes with respect to the plurality of indoor heat exchangers and connected to the plurality of indoor heat exchangers; indoor expansion valves installed in the indoor pipes; a liquid pipe that connects the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor pipes; and an outdoor expansion valve installed in the liquid pipe.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an air conditioner. The air conditioner of the present disclosure for achieving the above or other object, there is provided an air conditioner including: a compressor which compresses refrigerant; an accumulator which supplies refrigerant to the compressor; a condenser which condenses refrigerant discharged from the compressor; an expansion valve which expands refrigerant passing through the condenser; an evaporator which has a heat exchange pipe through which refrigerant passing through the expansion valve flows, and evaporates refrigerant flowing through the heat exchange pipe; a gas-liquid separation pipe which connects a first point and a second point located between one end and the other end of the heat exchange pipe; and a bypass pipe which has one end connected to the gas-liquid separation pipe and the other end connected to the accumulator, wherein the gas-liquid separation pipe comprises: a first part which has one end connected to the first point and the other end connected to one end of the bypass pipe; and a second part which extends from the first part at between one end and the other end of the first part, and is connected to the second point.

    Abstract: A multi-air conditioner for cooling and heating is provided to remove latent heat and sensible heat by using a single outdoor unit. The multi-air conditioner includes: at least one indoor unit installed in a room, that comprises an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor expansion valve; an outdoor unit connected to the indoor unit via a refrigerant pipeline, that comprises an outdoor heat exchanger, a plurality of compressors, an outdoor expansion valve, and a four-way valve; and a dedicated outdoor air ventilation unit connected to the indoor unit and the outdoor unit via the refrigerant pipeline, that dehumidifies and ventilates outdoor air and supplies the outdoor air to the room, wherein the outdoor unit provides a refrigerant to both the dedicated outdoor air ventilation unit and the indoor unit by controlling the compressors depending on an operation mode of the dedicated outdoor air ventilation unit and the indoor unit. Accordingly, it is possible to run an air conditioner for cooling and heating and a dedicated outdoor air conditioner simultaneously by using a single outdoor unit. Moreover, the handling of sensible and latent heats can be controlled by a single outdoor unit, thereby minimizing facility costs and enhancing control reliability.
