摘要: A process and apparatus for recovering and treating hazardous and non-hazardous components from process streams generated from a continuous system for selectively separating organic and inorganic constituents from contaminated material. The contaminated material is heated in a dryer to a first temperature sufficient to volatilize water and lower boiling point constituents contained in the material, thereby producing a dried solid material and a first gas containing water vapor and volatilized lower boiling point constituents. The first gas is separated from the dried solid material. The lower boiling point constituents are recovered from the first gas. The dried solid material is heated in a desorber to a second temperature sufficient to volatilize higher boiling point constituents contained in the dried material, thereby producing a substantially decontaminated solid material and a second gas containing volatilized higher boiling point constituents. The second gas is separated from the substantially contaminated solid material, and the higher boiling point constituents are recovered from the second gas.

摘要: The present invention describes systems and methods of incorporating detailed snapshots of targeted areas of interest into a video or digitized recording of the overall scene including metadata to link the snapshots to the time and location in the overall scene from which the snapshot was acquired. A single fixed high-resolution scene camera or a fixed standard resolution scene camera of analog or IP connected type is used, co-located with at least one pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera or by using the same scene camera in a mode where less than full resolution of the scene camera is used for video but snapshots of areas are captured by the same camera where higher resolution thereof is used for snapshots than for video. The area of interest is selected by the object-tracking feature of an intelligent video system, operated without human intervention, by electronically-implemented identification of the existence of area-specific subjects or targets of interest in the scene image field.

摘要: A method and a technology has been developed to improve reading and skimming speed. Not all words are necessary for understanding so these words may be substituted or removed from the text to facilitate reading the text at a higher speed. A set of rules determines which words can be substituted/removed and what proportion of a document can be substituted/removed.

摘要: A drive track for a tracked vehicle has drive lugs on the interior side that are made in two rows, one row adjacent each of the lateral sides of the track and spaced apart on opposite sides of the longitudinal center plane of the track. The first row has lugs spaced a selected distance on center, and the second row lugs are spaced the same distance but offset one-half of the distance between the lugs in the first row along the length of the track. A drive sprocket or wheel has two sections, each with drive bars that are annularly offset from the other the same amount as the track lugs so that the rows of track lugs are driven by the drive wheel sections.

摘要: A process and an apparatus for recovering and treating hazardous and non-hazardous components from process streams generated from a continuous system for selectively separating organic and inorganic constituents from contaminated material. The contaminated material is heated to a first temperature sufficient to volatilize water and lower boiling point constituents contained in the material, thereby producing a dried solid material and a first gas containing water vapor and volatilized lower boiling point constituents. The contaminated material is heated in a dryer, which includes an indirect heated hot oil screw dryer having a screw for conveying the material. The first gas is separated from the dried solid material. The lower boiling point constituents are recovered from the first gas. The dried solid material is heated to a second temperature sufficient to volatilize higher boiling point constituents contained in the dried material, thereby producing a substantially decontaminated solid material and a second gas containing volatilized higher boiling point constituents. The second gas is separated from the substantially decontaminated solid material. The higher boiling point constituents are recovered from the second gas. Oil is heated in a hot oil system and fed to the screw of the dryer to indirectly heat the contaminated solid material fed to the dryer. Inert gases are fed as sweep gas to at least one of the dryer and the desorber. Combustion products are withdrawn from the hot oil system and fed to inert gas vaporizers, and heat from the withdrawn combustion products is utilized to vaporize liquid inert gas into inert gas in the inert gas vaporizers.
