The apparatus includes an image pickup apparatus that picks up a vertically polarized light image and a horizontally polarized light image at the front surface of the transparent member from a side of a rear surface of the transparent member; and a signal processing unit that determines whether the liquid droplets are attached to the front surface of the transparent member based on a polarized-light image ratio composed of the vertically polarized light image and the horizontally polarized light image picked up by the image pickup apparatus.

The imaging part receives two polarized lights having a different polarization direction included in light reflected from the object existing in the image pickup area and captures two polarization images. The object identification processing part conducts an identification process for identifying the object existing at a place corresponding to each of multiple process areas in the image pickup area by using the two polarization images captured by the imaging part.

摘要： Liquid packs provided with liquid leading members are stored in a container case that is constituted by fitting a case main body portion and a lid case in fitting portions and, support portions, which positions the liquid leading members so as to be opposed to liquid introducing members attached to a cartridge inserting portion, are provided on a front surface of the container case, the fitting portions are arranged in a state in which the fitting portions traverses the support portions, and space portions having a gap larger than a gap formed in the fitting portions are formed near the support portions in the fitting portions. In this way, liquid flowing through the fitting portions due to the capillarity is retained by the space portions and never flows to the fitting portions further extending from the space portions.

摘要： The present invention provides cell fusogenic vectors having replicative ability, whose protease-dependent tropism has been modified. M gene-deficient viral vectors encoding modified F proteins, in which the cleavage site of the F protein of paramyxovirus is modified to be cleaved by different proteases, were produced. In cells transfected with these vectors, the genomic RNA present in the vectors is replicated, and cell fusogenic infection spreads to neighboring cells depending on the presence of other proteases; however, no viral particles are released. The vectors of this invention, encoding the F proteins which are cleaved by proteases whose activity is enhanced in cancer, show cancer growth suppressive effect in vivo.

An air-fuel mixture is sucked into the suction chamber and an air is introduced into the crank chamber. During the intake stroke, the air-fuel mixture from the air-fuel mixture passage is introduced into the first scavenging passages through the suction chambers, and the air is introduced into the crank chamber. During the scavenging stroke, before the air-fuel mixture in the first scavenging passages is introduced into the combustion chamber, introduction of the air in the crank chamber into the combustion chamber through the second scavenging passages starts.

摘要： The infrared absorption filter of the present invention has a transmittance of not higher than 30% in the near-infrared region in the wavelength range of 800 to 1100 nm; a difference of 10% or less between a maximum value and a minimum value of transmittance in the visible light region in the wavelength range of 450 to 650 nm; and a transmittance of not lower than 50% at a wavelength of 550 nm, the filter being so excellent in environmental stability that after being left to stand in the air atmosphere at a temperature of 60° C. and a humidity of 95% for 1000 hours, the filter can maintain said spectral property in said range. Consequently, when used for a plasma display or the like, the filter can absorb the unwanted infrared rays radiated from the display, resulting in preventing erroneous operation of a remote control using infrared radiation even in such a high-temperature and high-humidity environment. The filter is gray in color so that when placed in front of a display, the color originated in the display can be seen without discoloration.
