    摘要: A focus detection condition display device suitable for use in a camera provided with an electronic viewfinder. The pattern signal corresponding to a focus detection zone on which focus detection is conducted by a focus detecting system is superimposed on the video signal of the object field and said signal is output to an electronic viewfinder. When the focus detection has become impracticable for such reason as lack of contrast of the object field, or focusing has become impracticable because of the object coming too close to the camera, an alarm is issued by the pattern corresponding to a focus detection zone displayed on the electronic viewfinder displaying in a manner different from that ordinarily used.

The digital photographing apparatus includes a body unit and an exchangeable lens installed to the body unit, wherein the exchangeable lens includes: a power zoom performer for performing a power zoom operation; and an iris for adjusting an amount light penetrating through an imaging lens, the body unit includes: an image pickup device for generating an image signal by capturing the light; a shutter for controlling light exposure of the image pickup device; and a release controller for controlling operations of the shutter and the iris, and the power zoom operation is prohibited when the release controller starts to drive the shutter or the iris. Accordingly, the power zoom operation is stably controlled.

In an example focusing method, a focus evaluation value is divided into first information and second information.     摘要: An automatic focus adjusting apparatus of a camera comprises three CCD sensors receiving light from an object, a focus detecting apparatus for outputting a focus signal indicative of the focusing state of a photographic lens based on output data from the respective CCD sensors, a calculating apparatus for calculating an amount of driving the photographic lens based on the focus signal, a selector for selecting one of the three CCD sensors, a correcting apparatus for correcting the amount of driving calculated based on the output data from the selected CCD sensor, and a driving apparatus for driving the photographic lens to an in-focus position based on the corrected driving amount. An error in foucs detection incidental to the driving of the lens can be corrected based only on the data from one CCD sensor selected by a selector, so that the focusing error on a moving object can be eliminated in a simple manner.
