摘要： An image display system stereoscopically reproduces a visual scene and includes an image display unit with a pair of LCD panels each starting its operation in response to a start pulse received every vertical field of an input video signal; a source of input video signals representing right and left stereoscopic video images every field; a circuit for generating right and left start pulses, which are mutually in an opposite-phase relationship, in synchronism with the arrival of the right and left video images; and a driver for driving the pair of LCD panels by the right and left start pulses. The image display unit is shaped into a virtual viewer incorporated in a ski-goggle type frame which is adapted to be worn on a user's head. The video images displayed on the two LCD panels are refreshed alternately to obtain a flickerless image without the necessity of employing any particular circuit or terminal.

摘要： An adapter pack is constructed so that it can be connected to a video camera via the site via which the battery pack is normally connected. The adapter pack is itself provided with a mounting site on which the battery pack can be connected. This construction allows the adapter pack to be operatively "sandwiched" between the battery pack and the camera. The adapter pack is arranged to permit the power from the battery pack to be supplied both to its own circuitry and therethrough to the camera.

摘要： An imaging system comprises left and right display panels arranged so as to be viewed separately by left and right eyes of a viewer. A three dimensional video signal is supplied to a drive circuit for the display panels such that image data from the three dimensional video signal is supplied alternately to the left and right display panels. The display panels are of a memory effect LCD type such that, when no image data is received by the display panel, the image data of the previously received field is maintained on display for providing `flickerless` imaging.

摘要： A carrying system which may be utilized for carrying video cameras and accessories therefor comprises a main case and a plurality of accessory cases which interlock for carrying as a single unit. The main case includes clasps for releasably engaging linking straps which are provided on the accessory case for locking the accessory case to the main case. The accessory case is provided with, in addition to the linking straps, clasps like those on the main case so that a plurality of accessory cases may be joined together. Further, slots are provided on a portion of the accessory case such that free ends of the linking straps may be retained when the accessory case is carried alone, and so that the accessory case may be looped through the belt, or shoulder strap of a user for convenient carrying.

摘要： In order to provide a compact carrying handle arrangement for a video camera which is not provided with carrying handle connections per se, the lower horizontally extending portion of an essentially C-shaped handle extends along the lower edge of the camera and is secured thereto by a screw which is threaded into the threaded bore provided for connecting the tripod. The vertical portion of the handle has a connection site which can operatively engage with a first battery mounting site provided on the rear of the camera. A second battery site is provided on the handle and is arranged to receive the battery. The second mounting site is electrically connected with the connection site so that power from the battery can be supplied to the camera via the first battery mounting site. The grip portion of the handle extends forward in a space relationship over the top of the camera. Hot shoes are formed at the leading end of the grip portion and operatively connected with the second battery mounting site so as to enable power to be supplied thereto from the battery.

摘要： The tape recording and/or reproducing apparatus has tape supply and takeup reels and means for moving the tape therebetween at a predetermined speed, and recording and reproducing means, such as mode selecting buttons, for placing the recording and reproducing circuit of the apparatus into the recording or reproducing modes. The recording mode selecting means is interlocked with an instant-stop mechanism which is operative to temporarily and substantially instantaneously stop movement of the tape when the apparatus is in the reproducing mode. In addition the apparatus includes means which will prevent the apparatus from being placed in the recording mode while it is in the reproducing mode, unless the tape is previously stopped by the instant stop mechanism.

摘要： A recording/reproducing apparatus and control method thereof capable of easily recording and reproducing all kinds of information obtained from broadcasts, communications and recording mediums of all types, and further capable of applying suitable restrictions on use of digital information. A hard disk drive and a video recorder/player can both record information reproduced by a DVD player and information received by a satellite tuner. When restrictions on recording such as billing conditions or limits on the number of recordings were placed in the control data, such restrictions are recorded as the discriminator ID. When the videotape cassette is then extracted from the video recorder/player, the discriminator ID is decoded and, all or a portion of the recorded contents of the hard disk identical to the information recorded on the videotape are deleted as needed. The unlimited distribution or unlimited retention of the contents recorded on the hard disk is in this way prevented, and problems such as involving copyrights are eliminated.

The reflective element is disposed along or proximate to the focal axis of the image receiving portion for avoiding a parallax effect such that a camera operator may accurately monitor the image during self photography. Several variations on the arrangement of the reflective element allow various photographic effects to be obtained and in addition, the arrangement of the invention may also by applied for effecting audio/visual communication.
